DearPotentialMember, DearPotentialMember,
I am so thrilled that you have chosen to participate in primary recruitment this year at LSU! When coming to college, I immediately knew in my heart that I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself and join a sorority. I am a first-generation sorority woman, so I really had no idea what to expect going into recruitment. The Girl Talk magazine was my go-to throughout the entire recruitment process, giving me all the information, tips, & tricks I needed to feel prepared & comfortable.
Just two years ago, I was in the same position you are in now. Perfectly curating my outfits for each round, calling my mom after each event to give her an update, & anxiously awaiting outside the doors that would become my forever home. As you go through the recruitment process, I want you all to remember my favorite phrase, “be the light". To be the light is to be your most authentic, joyous, and confident self. When you are the light, you may find a future friend, or maybe even a role model in each sorority you visit. The women I met while going through recruitment have inspired me to become the woman I am today. Hold on to each minute you have throughout the recruitment process because it will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the woman you become in the future.

The women in our Panhellenic community are the most remarkable women I have ever met and will truly forever hold a place in my heart. These women value service & sisterhood in ways I have never experienced before. As soon as I joined the Panhellenic community, I was welcomed with open arms and unconditional love. The Panhellenic women in our community have pushed me to become my best self and pursue leadership positions I never would have thought myself capable of.
I am so excited for each of you to start the next phase of your life, college, and that you chose to make Panhellenic a part of it. Right now starts the beginning of the best next four years of your life. Embrace all of the opportunities that college and Panhellenic will bring you. Each and every one of you is so unique and embodies what our Panhellenic community stands for. YOU are our future, and we could not be more proud to welcome you home.
My experiences as a Panhellenic woman have shaped me into the woman I am today. The forever friendships, endless opportunities, and constant support system make me fall more and more in love with our Panhellenic community each day. These past two years have made the largest impact on my heart, and I can’t wait to see what the next two will bring. I wish you the best of luck throughout the recruitment process, and I absolutely cannot wait to see the impact each of you will make in our Panhellenic community.
