BROTHER JACOB SANDERS WINS ACC BEST WARRIOR COMPETITION

Brother Jacob Sanders, a 2020 initiate of Sigma Tau Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, and a Contract Specialist assigned to Fort Bliss, Texas won the Army Contracting Command Best Warrior Competition. The events were held over a five-day span, May 9-13, 2022, and Brother Sanders was declared the winner on May 16, 2022, by Brigadier General Christine Beeler. We wish Brother Sander the best in the U.S. Army Material Command Best Warrior Competition in August.

Brother Sanders, a native of Santa Ana, California, enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in August 2010 and was reclassified as a Contracting Non-commissioned Officer nine years later. He’s a proud graduate of Grand Canyon University, with a Master's in Leadership and a Bachelor's in Public Safety and Emergency Management. Brother Sanders has received numerous military accolades and awards in his career, including the Purple Heart. In Brother Sanders' words, “It is truly one of the biggest moments in my career, and I am truly grateful for all the leaders, mentors, Soldiers, and friends who got me where I am today. I hope I can be an inspiration to other 51Cs to step outside of their comfort zone and compete.”
