What does the Recovery College offer?

Page 1

CO-PRODUCTION & CO-DELIVERY We believe that recovery is best achieved when everyone is involved in the process. the Recovery College is an initiative that has been co-produced and co-delivered by our service users and our staff, with everyone working together as equal partners to decide what the college should aim to do and how we should do this.

OUTCOMES By joining in the Recovery College’s activities we hope service users will enjoy learning together and feel empowered to become actively involved in improving their lives and their futures.

Peer Support is becoming a significant part of mental health care provision.. The Recovery College values service users as 'experts by experience' and has supported service users to create 'Peer Support' in Heatherwood. (see separate leaflet)

Service users have also been supported in developing the 'Peer Council, a forum for patients to have a voice and be heard (see more in 'Peer Support' Leaflet).
