Commitment TOSERVICE

• service conducted seven days a week through seventeen voluntary community service projects • summer service opportunities in eight states and four countries – Philadelphia, Bolivia, Saint Lucia, Puerto Rico, Arizona, California, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, New York, and West Virginia – over 300 rising juniors and seniors, which represents almost 60% of the upperclassmen, along with 27 faculty members participated in service experiences during the summer of 2016 – Father/Son Branch-Out Day for freshmen along with their fathers – Monthly Father/Son and Mother/Son service opportunities • Thanksgiving Food Drive collected over 13,500 cans of food • Secret Santa raised in excess of $12,000 and purchased approximately 700 gifts for the oncology and hematology patients (and their families) at Saint Christopher’s Hospital for Children – over ninety students along with twenty-five parents and fifteen alums delivered gifts on Christmas Eve to over 140 children (68 homes) • through “La Salle Responds,” the school community raised over $40,000 to benefit over thirty different charities and organizations

• Seven state-of-the-art physical servers hosting 30 virtual servers running Windows Server 2012 2016 • Dedicated Internet connection that provides instructional bandwidth of at least 1 Gbps (1,000 Mbps) • First school in the nation to fully implement Microsoft Office 365 Email in the Cloud • La Salle was the first organization in the world to deploy Windows Server 2012 into a production environment under the coordination of Microsoft’s Technology Adoption Program (TAP) • Digital Multimedia Lab and WEXP TV Production Studio featuring Adobe Creative Cloud with all high definition non-linear editing systems • Three Computer Labs with over 100 Windows 10 Workstations and access to the industry standard Office 365 Productivity Suite • Adobe Certified Curriculum and Instructors teaching the latest Creative Cloud Software (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator) • Exclusive Certiport Authorized Testing Center providing Microsoft, Adobe, and AutoCAD Certifications on-site • Computer Lab Manager Program for qualified students, which to date has amassed over 200 Microsoft and Adobe Certifications.

• Fully implemented faculty laptop program utilizing wireless technology and projection devices focused on the 21st century classroom • All fifty-seven instructional areas are equipped with Wireless Projection – and have been updated to our 20:20 classroom initiative. This allows our faculty and students to utilize their tablet device to enhance collaboration and learning in the classroom.

EACH MEMBER OF THE CLASS OF 2020 WAS ISSUED A MICROSOFT SURFACE 3 AND WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN A FOURYEAR ONE-TO-ONE INITIATIVE. STUDENTS ARE PROVIDED WITH ALL OF THE DIGITAL TOOLS THEY WILL NEED FOR A 21ST CENTURY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. THROUGH OFFICE 365, STUDENTS ARE PROVIDED AN EMAIL ACCOUNT, CLOUD STORAGE, AND A COPY OF MICROSOFT OFFICE. DIGITAL DESIGN STUDENTS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A COPY OF THE NECESSARY ADOBE SOFTWARE VIA ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD.

Extraordinary EXTRACURRICULARS

• Athletics – over 70% of students are involved in athletics – 18 Varsity Sports – 43 Separate Teams (Varsity, JV, and Freshman programs) – 2015-16 Pennsylvania State Champions in Hockey, Rugby 7s, and Swimming – 2015-16 Philadelphia Catholic League Champions in ten sports – Bowling, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Lacrosse, Swimming, Tennis, Track and Field, and Volleyball – 2015-16 PIAA District 12 (City) Champions in six sports – Cross Country, Football, Lacrosse, Swimming, Tennis, and Track and Field – 2015-16 Flyers Cup Champions in Hockey – in the last ten years, La Salle has won sixteen Pennsylvania State Championships in six different sports – La Salle College High School is the only school to have won a Philadelphia Catholic League Championship in every boy’s sport.

– in the last five years, La Salle has captured 91 championships in seventeen different sports (Philadelphia Catholic League Championships, District 12 Championships, and Pennsylvania State Championships) – 217 students received All-Catholic recognition in 2015-16 – over 40 athletes in the Class of 2016 were recruited to participate in athletics by a college or university

• Fine Arts – over 260 students are actively involved the school’s Music Program – fifteen performing ensembles and three choral groups – two band concerts and two choral concerts are held each year – Competition Band received superior ratings in all five area jazz competitions in 2016 and captured First Place at the Cavalcade of Bands Championship for the Delaware Valley – over 25% of students participate in the Fine Arts Program – Arts Festival held each May highlights student work in painting, drawing, sculpture, and ceramics – students exhibited artwork at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Montgomery County Community College, and the Archdiocesan Art Show • Activities – 53 clubs and organizations, many with award winning accomplishments – over 70% of the student body is involved in one or more activity or club – Speech and Debate Program

CLASS OF 2016 • 257 seniors from 108 elementary schools, 75 zip codes, and China (two students) • 100% of the Class of 2016 is continuing formal education at 84 colleges and universities in 21 different states and the District of Columbia • Class of 2016 was accepted into 223 colleges and universities in 33 different states and the District of Columbia • 81% of the Class of 2016 earned a scholarship or grant and collectively earned in excess of $43 million in documented scholarships and grants • 37% of the Class of 2016 was designated as an AP Scholar (20 National AP Scholars) NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY • 168 members of the National Honor Society (juniors and seniors only with a minimum GPA of 3.75)

ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES • 24 Advanced Placement Courses Offered (42 sections) • 426 students took 880 AP exams in twenty different subject areas in May of 2016 • 85% scored at least one score of 3 or better (recommended grade for college) • 156 AP scholars – 20 National Scholars (earned an average of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and grades of 4 or higher in 8 or more of these exams) – 72 AP Scholars with Distinction (earned an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on 5 or more of these exams) – 28 AP Scholars with Honor (earned an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on 4 or more of these exams) – 56 AP Scholars (earned grades of 3 or higher on 3 or more exams)
