HOW DO STUDENTS GET INVOLVED?

Freshmen are invited to attend an Activity Fair, which is traditionally held during the first week of school during free periods and features all of the clubs and activities that La Salle has to offer.

The Student Bulletin posts meeting times and scheduled events for all clubs and activities, which are open to all students and emailed each day.

Each club and activity has their own Schoology page, where all information can be found and communication occurs.

✓

The school website lists all clubs and activities as well as email addresses for the moderators so students can email the respective moderator with questions and/or ask to join the club.

✓

Students, especially freshmen, are encouraged to see the Assistant Dean of Students (Director of Student Activities) should they have questions about the various clubs. They can also speak with their grade-level counselor or homeroom teacher in regard to ways to get involved.

Students communicate and connect with other students and ask what club(s) they are attending or have attended as fellow students will give honest advice and recommendations for clubs of which they are members.

COMPUTER LAB MANAGERS are part of a nationally recognized program that is one-of-a-kind. The program functions like a sports team and allows tech students to work side-by-side with the Chief Information Officer and Network Administrator to run the network and website at La Salle College High School. Students go through an application process where the goal of this “team” is to make La Salle Technology the best of any school in the country.

Students gain priceless experiential learning that goes hand in hand with any professional certifications they have earned through the school’s partnership with Certiport.

The Student Government Association or Student Council is comprised of a four-member executive board, class officers, class senators, and faculty moderators. The Student Council, under the direction of the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer oversees the individual class councils and coordinates all council activities. The Class Council is headed by an elected Class President and Vice President for each of the four classes and elected homeroom senators. Activities organized at this level include intramural teams, proms or dances, Field Day, and other activities planned by the class and the Class Moderator. Any student may participate in or help with the various class activities.

STUDENT PUBLICATIONS

BLUE AND GOLD is the school’s yearbook. It strives to capture the events of the year through photographs and words. Staff members have the opportunity to develop skills in decision making and time management. In addition, students explore their own creative talents through writing, photography, and page design.

GAZEBO, the school’s literary magazine, offers all students an opportunity to publish creative writing. Once works are submitted, the staff of the Gazebo begins the publishing process. The staff members are actively involved in material selection, editing, and copy preparation. The reward for the staff culminates with the distribution of the literary magazine twice a year.

STUDENT PUBLICATIONS

WISTERIAN, the school newspaper, provides an opportunity for students to report on news around the La Salle College High School community. Consisting of news, features, sports, and editorials, the Wisterian promotes better writing in a variety of disciplines and offers aspiring writers the satisfaction of being published.

SPEECH AND DEBATE PROGRAM Speech and Debate (Forensics) offers students unique opportunities to develop public speaking skills in the areas of persuasion, argumentation, discussion, and interpretation. Through participation in an on-going program of weekly interscholastic contests at local and midAtlantic area schools, students develop poise, confidence, and listening skills. “Leadership Through Speech” is the motto of the National Catholic Forensic League.

The team has won the Valley Forge NSDA District Speech Sweepstakes twice in the last ten years (2018, 2021).

MOCK TRIAL has students “trying” a case by taking the role of attorney and/or witness against a team from other schools. This affords the students an opportunity to see the case from the perspective of the prosecutor, defense attorney, witness, and the accused.

SPEECH AND DEBATE

In the last three years, the team has been recognized with national success at the invitationals hosted by Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, George Mason University, and Saint Joseph’s University.

Additionally, multiple awards have been achieved from the Tournament of Champions (hosted by the University of Kentucky), the National Catholic Forensics League, and the National Speech and Debate Association. In 2018, Patrick Kelly ’18, placed 2nd in Informative Speaking at the National Speech and Debate Association. Locally, the team remains a dominant presence having won the State District 11 title consecutively from 2005-2023.

THEATRE PROGRAM With over one hundred La Salle students along with girls from surrounding high schools, La Salle’s theatre program is recognized as one of the top programs in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Producing two shows per year, the theatre program offers students the opportunity to become involved in and learn every aspect of the theatre from performance, playing as a member of the pit orchestra, and to every aspect of designing and running a show. One of the unique aspects of the program is that the student gets the responsibility of truly managing a full scale production.

MUSIC PROGRAM

La Salle’s expanding choral program has three very active performing groups: The Belcrofters (performing ensemble), Upperclassmen Chorus, and Freshman Chorus. Aside from concerts, these groups perform at many functions in and around La Salle. Smaller ensembles enhance school liturgies by providing music. Chorus is open to anyone in or outside of the band. The chorus performs at music department concerts, community liturgies and at some community events. Typically, individual practices or group practices will be held during the day and/or during scheduled class time.

BAND The Music Department at La Salle College High School is comprised of many bands. The Honors Advanced Band, Advanced Band, Freshman Band, Intermediate Band, Guitar Ensemble, and String Ensemble are all rostered classes, who practice during a scheduled period along with private lessons for each instrument. In addition to music classes, there are other bands in which students can participate.

Practices for these bands are held during the day or once or twice a week after school. The Music Department extends all its opportunities to anyone who wishes to roster for a band or simply take music lessons.

ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS, RECREATIONAL, AND SPECIAL INTEREST CLUBS ACCEPTANCE FOR ALL CLUB is open to everyone and the purpose is to build awareness, understanding, and acceptance of LGBTQ people and the issues they face.

The club fosters appreciation of and respect for diversity within both the La Salle and wider community in the context of Catholic and Lasallian values. The meetings provide education about how you can support LGBTQ people in your life and understand more about the issues they face.

There is an opportunity to ask questions as well as talk to other students who have questions. Each meeting covers a range of topics to help promote understanding.

ANIME (pronounced AH-nee-may) is a term for a style of Japanese comic book and video cartoon animation. Anime is unlike most American cartoons like “Batman” and “SpiderMan” and is the prevalent style in Japanese comic books.

These differences are evident in the artwork, storytelling, breadth of material, and cultural nuances exhibited by the characters. Anime Club members will watch selected anime on streaming sites, and share ideas for club activities, such as making Japanese-themed food and crafts (sushi, bubble tea, origami, etc.).

ART CLUB offers the students an opportunity to express and develop their creative abilities. Students can explore a variety of themes through community service, group, and individual projects. Past projects have included “Poor Man’s Supper,” mural and sculpture installations around the school for school events, and permanent artwork for display on campus. Students in the Art Club can also organize field trips to attend workshops and museum installations.

Membership is open to all grade levels.

ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS

ARAB CULTURE CLUB is for students interested in exploring the diverse traditions, languages, foods, music, history, current affairs, and arts of the Arab world.

Through cultural celebrations, food tastings, and guest speakers students will learn more about the Arab world’s contributions to global civilization and promote crosscultural understanding at La Salle. Students are encouraged to be part of a community that values diversity, dialogue, and cultural pride, and will discover the rich and vibrant world of Arab cultures.

ASIAN CULTURES CLUB members meet to discuss the varied ideals and culture over Asian meals, Asian table games, and challenge other clubs to ping pong, badminton, and Jianzi tournaments.

ATHLETES HELPING ATHLETES is a student-run organization comprised of La Salle students that host special needs students from our community at some of our varsity sports events. We welcome these very special “captains” and honor them prior to games.

BADMINTON CLUB is a great opportunity to play a very enjoyable, yet highly competitive game. The equipment of rackets and birdies are supplied, so students need only to bring themselves. The Badminton Club meets and plays in the Auditorium during community time and occasionally after school.

BAGGO CLUB Just because summer is over is no reason to let your beach skills get rusty. Come with your friends and hone your toss. Memorial Day weekend will be here before you know it.

BIKE CLUB promotes and cultivates student interest and engagement in the world of bicycling. To this end, the club seeks to attract a diverse group of students and faculty with a wide range of interest in bicycling with the goal of creating a connected cycling community based in education and experience. The club’s meetings focus on a range of topics surrounding bikes: safety, repairs, route planning, and gear, among others. The club meets outside of school to hold group rides along different trails and routes in the Philadelphia area.

BLACK STUDENT UNION exists to create a safe talking and action space pertaining to global, national, and local political issues that impact La Salle College High School students of African descent and the African Diaspora. Within the La Salle community, the Black Student Union aims to foster opportunities for intellectual and academic growth, through cultural enrichment and educational programming.

The Black Student Union also hopes to provoke a sense of cultural pride that uplifts and empowers its participants to celebrate achievement, leadership, and consciousness within the La Salle community.

CELTIC CLUB is the place to explore Celtic culture, history, and music. Students celebrate a heritage that is shared by many in the La Salle community and learn about Celtic history through guest speakers, artifacts, and discussions.

CHESS CLUB/TEAM is open to all students at La Salle College High School. Any student who has a desire to play and learn chess is encouraged to participate. The young men who participate in the club have experience that ranges from having never played to those who compete in national competitions. Chess Club members may be eligible to compete on the Catholic League Chess team.

Whether you have deep Celtic roots or are just someone with a curious spirit, the Celtic Club is a welcoming experience. Cead Mile Failte! (“100 thousand welcomes” in Gaelic).

CHINESE CLUB watches Kung Fu movies, plays Chinese chess, and wraps dumplings as well as writes Chinese names in calligraphy. Students also learn about the history, geography, economy, and political environment of modern China.

CLASSICS CLUB teaches and educates students on the influence of the classical world. Everyone is familiar with Greek and Roman myths and legends – Hollywood loves stories like the fall of Troy – but the influence of the ancient Mediterranean societies on our everyday lives is wider than most imagine. Students learn that the Greeks gave us democracy, theatre, and the Olympic games; the Romans brought us roads, leisure centers, and our regular diet of gladiatorial contests between rival sports teams. The aim of the Classics Club is to allow our students to reflect on ancient cultures in an informative and comparative, but fun way. In addition to basic factual presentations, students will have the opportunity to appreciate well-known films with a more critical approach and to visit some of the excellent exhibitions in our area.

COOKING CLUB meets monthly in the Mothers’ Club Kitchen. Students learn how to prepare and cook delicious meals and enjoy them when finished.

DISC GOLF is a fun and accessible sport that involves throwing discs (smaller and more aerodynamic frisbees) towards a basket in the least number of attempts. Like traditional golf, players will start at a tee pad and direct their shots towards the basket. Players will have different types of discs (driver, midrange, and putter) to help them navigate their way to the basket. La Salle’s disc golf group meets once a week during both the fall and spring semesters on throwing skills and to compete against one another.

La Salle’s campus provides plenty of space to create various types of shots, and the club ventures over to one of the best disc golf courses in the area, Fort Washington State Park, at least twice a semester to compete on a challenging layout. The club has grown immensely and looks forward to competing against other schools in the future.

ESPORTS CLUB provides students with an opportunity to compete alongside their peers while developing critical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Students compete, organize, and manage live streams, while others provide commentary for our live events.

Additionally, the club incorporates the North American eSports Federation (NAESF) curriculum to promote creativity

ENGINEERING CLUB is part of the Engineering Concentration at La Salle, but is open to all interested students. The club is structured to help La Salle students better understand what engineers do and how they work on projects. Each year, the Engineering Club takes on a project during the second semester. Previous projects include an energy usage study for the La Salle campus, designing the Energy Management System (EMS) for the school, and completing a traffic flow study for La Salle.

ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB is dedicated to learning and educating our school community about environmental issues, cultivating an awareness and appreciation for the environment in our community, creating opportunities to enjoy nature, advocating for personal environmental responsibility, increasing the sustainability and environmental friendliness of our campus, and taking actions to leave a positive environmental impact on our local community, region, and world. Of particular interest for the club is exploring and caring for the Brother Gratian of Jesus Environmental Studies Area, a six-acre space on the campus of La Salle College High School with trails, streams, and a variety of woodlands.

EXPLORERS INC. (Business Club) is a student group wanting to learn more about entrepreneurship, business leadership, personal finances, and business concepts.

Explorers Inc. has meetings in addition to managing Project Paperback, which is the club’s business project where students acquire experience with all aspects of a small business: marketing, advertising, sales, finance, and inventory management.

FANTASY SPORTS CLUB is a game where people draft players from the NFL/NBA/NHL/GOLF to their “fantasy team” and based on how each player does in their real NFL/NBA/ NHL/GOLF game, they score fantasy points for the fantasy team that they were drafted to. This club is primarily about fantasy football and dives deep into the specifics of fantasy and what it takes to be good at fantasy sports.

FILM CLUB members will watch a wide range of films and discuss them critically based on cinematography, technique, artistic merit, level of characterization, historical/cultural relevance, and topics of student choice. The choice of films will sometimes focus on a particular genre, director, screenwriter, or performer.

FRENCH CLUB is open to all students. The young men who participate in the club will learn and experience genuine language use, as well as an integrated approach to understanding and appreciating the French culture.

Members have the opportunity to explore French music, videos, and cuisine.

FUTURE LAWYERS CLUB provides student-driven opportunities to explore and discuss a wide range of legal questions and issues, from choosing to be a lawyer to global legal concerns in our modern world. Field trips to local courthouses and other law-related events are available throughout the year. The club meets during community time and students should bring their curiosity and problemsolving skills.

A WORLD FOR DISCOVERY 24 La Salle College High School

GAME DEVELOPMENT CLUB is La Salle’s newest technology club. Students who are interested in learning more about creating video games work with students and alumni to create their own video games. Game development includes a variety of fields such as programming, art, music, and sound design. At the end of the year, the Game Development Club hosts a game jam where students’ finished games are presented and played.

ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS

FUTURE HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS CLUB is open to any student with an interest in the field of healthcare. The club brings in healthcare professionals from various specialties including orthopedics, anesthesiology, physical therapy, general practice, cardiology, and interventional radiology.

Meetings are held during assigned community time.

GAMING CLUB gives students an opportunity to gather with their friends while playing board, video, and card games. Students compete against each other and have fun in a relaxed atmosphere.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS CLUB examines trends that are relevant to high school students and offer healthy options in areas such as strength and conditioning, dietary choices, and nutrition to promote healthy living. In addition, the club will look to explore the many potential career paths that exist within the health sciences.

HUMAN RIGHTS CLUB explores a variety of human rights issues throughout the world and discusses alternative Lasallian methods to help alleviate some of these problems.

The club completes a service project each spring.

IMPROV 101 is a club designed for students who are interested in performative art but may not have the time or desire to audition for Fall One Acts or the Spring musical.

There are no auditions, and no expectations of or for prior experience. Members will learn the fundamentals of improvisational comedy, in order to cooperate with and listen to their teammates. In addition, they will lead and follow their teammates through long- and short-form improv scenes and, above all, give and receive the gift of laughter.

INVESTMENT CLUB seeks to afford the students with a unique experience in managing an actual investment portfolio. While the students will begin trading a virtual portfolio, they will advance to managing the Investment Club’s endowment, funded primarily by La Salle alumni working in the financial services industry with initial seed capital provided by Ironview Capital Management. Education modules provided via the program include, but are not limited to: macroeconomics, corporate finance, accounting, security analysis, portfolio management, derivatives, and personal finance. To start, the Investment Club will divide participating students into industry sector groups which make up the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index. The Investment Club will initially trade U.S. publicly traded equities, but may move onto debt instruments and funds as the program matures.

MARTIAL ARTS CLUB is dedicated to providing a safe and empowering environment where students can develop their physical abilities, mental strength, and self-confidence through the practice of martial arts techniques. In this club, self-defense is paramount. Everyone has the right to feel safe and empowered in any situation, which is why the club focuses on practical techniques that can be used to defend oneself in real-life scenarios. From learning basic strikes and blocks to mastering grappling and evasion techniques, members gain the skills and confidence they need to protect themselves effectively. The club is led by experienced instructors who are dedicated to helping each member reach their full potential. Whether you’re a beginner or have prior experience in martial arts, there’s a place for you in this club, which fosters a supportive and inclusive community where everyone can learn and grow together.

ITALIAN CLUB introduces students to Italian-American culture. Any student or member of the La Salle College High School community with an interest in Italian culture may join (you do not have to be Italian). The club attempts to introduce its membership to the many facets of ItalianAmerican life including food, entertainment, sports, and history. Activities include sampling Italian food, learning to play Bocce Ball, watching classic Italian movies, and learning the history of Italians in our area.

MATHLETES offers an opportunity for students interested in mathematics to use their problem-solving skills in a competitive setting. The team participates in the Philadelphia Archdiocesan Mathletes, which holds monthly competitions in different areas of Mathematics as well as a national math league which has monthly competitions conducted through the mail.

MEDITATION CLUB invites all students to explore the world of meditation. Each week will provide an opportunity to practice a variety of forms of meditation along with insights into the benefits of breathing and relaxation. The club will also learn about techniques that are applicable to academics, athletics, and faith.

MODEL UN is designed to introduce students to the larger international community through participation in Model United Nation conferences, attending events hosted by the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, and working with students across the world.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY is composed of juniors and seniors who have distinguished themselves in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Selection for membership requires that the student maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.80, achieve a final grade no lower than a B- in any class, have a record of good conduct, demonstrate leadership, and participate in service activities and in an acceptable number of extra-curricular activities within the school community as well as the community at large. Each Spring, a ceremony is held to officially accept newly invited members into the La Salle chapter of this national organization. The principle service performed by the members is tutoring students who are having difficulty with one or more of their subjects.

ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS

NURSING AND CLINICAL PRACTICE CLUB is open to any La Salle Student with an interest in the field of healthcare. The club provides opportunities to explore and discuss a wide range of nursing and medical issues, including advancements in clinical care. Hands-on trainings will be provided such as instruction in first aid. Guest speakers from various nursing specialties will explain their disciplines and the educational paths needed for their field.

Community outreach is a significant part of this club, and members will have opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills to make a positive impact by providing service to local healthcare facilities, organizing health fairs, and conducting blood drives.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE AND FISHING CLUB is a group of La Salle students who love hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing, or other outdoor/nature related activities. Members will meet during community time to plan adventures and discuss issues facing the environment. Members who enjoy angling can help design four fishing outings. Each outing will be planned in advance, and members will need their own fishing equipment. No experience is necessary, just a love of the outdoors.

OLAS (Organization of Latin American Students) is committed to celebrating, educating, and uniting in the rich tapestry of Latin American cultures. The mission is to foster cultural awareness, understanding, and appreciation while building a welcoming and inclusive community for all students. The club aims to achieve this through diverse activities that promote language, arts, cuisine, and traditions, all while encouraging global citizenship and service. The vision is to empower students to embrace the beauty of Hispanic heritage, creating lasting connections and memories that will enrich lives and contribute to a more diverse and harmonious world.

PEER MENTORS is a program which pairs senior students with freshmen students in small group settings. The senior students act as leaders and mentors for incoming freshman as they transition to high school. Group meetings take place throughout the year during freshman orientation, homeroom, and community time. The goal of the program is to provide senior students with the opportunity to share their knowledge, experience, and expertise about La Salle College High School while simultaneously preparing freshman students to understand and embrace the school community.

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB provides students with an opportunity to confer about the various aspects of photography including composition, lighting, shutter speeds, aperture, digital videos, printing, matting, and presenting their work. The club will meet as informal instruction for various purposes and have structured lessons on skills and techniques such as portraits or cropping photos. Club time will also be used to get out into the community and hone student skills. After school outings may include a wide-variety of locales in the city, such as Valley Green or Morris Arboretum. Students may also work on photography projects such as family portraits, photo journalism assignments, and “A Day in the Life” projects. Student work could help supplement the yearbook, website news items, and press releases with photos of students and school day activities. The club will also serve as a supportive venue for sharing students’ photography. The club could look for appropriate venues to publicly share student work, such as the Arts Festival.

SKI AND SNOWBOARD CLUB provides an opportunity for those who enjoy the sports and want to ski and snowboard at various resorts on the East Coast with others from La Salle. Trips may be scheduled several times throughout the ski season.

ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS

ROBOTICS allows students to work with their peers, teachers, and adult mentors to earn valuable life experiences with robotics, technology, and science. The club encourages students to design, build, and program robots.

In addition, students apply real world math and science concepts, develop problem solving, organizational and team building skills, and compete and cooperate in alliances and tournaments.

SPANISH CLUB explores the diverse cultures of Spanish speaking people in order to enhance the language experience and promote cross-cultural understanding.

Activities include tutoring students in Spanish speaking elementary schools, viewing movies from different parts of the world, translations of Disney stories, and playing games with Spanish vocabulary. There is also an excursion to a restaurant which serves Latin American cuisine.

SPIKEBALL CLUB is inspired by similarities in volleyball with a net and three-point passes. Spikeball is an outdoor sport that yields a lot of fun and energy. Each member of both teams must ensure that the ball remains in play by continually passing it. If the ball misses the net, the opposing team scores a point. La Salle students play this recreational activity outside and during community time.

SPORTS INFORMATION CLUB works directly with WEXP, the web site, and the Athletic Department to cover all levels (V, JV, FR) of La Salle sports. Students who sign up will be assigned as the beat reporter for a specific team. Scores, game stories, pictures, and videos will all be a part of this sports journalism experience. Students will get handson access shooting video, editing highlights, researching statistics, and using social media to help share information about La Salle’s Athletic Department with the community at large. In September 2012, the Sport Information Club began the La Salle Sports Twitter Feed, which received national recognition for its innovative use of social media and student involvement.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS are the “voice and face” of La Salle College High School, and are called upon to act as a guide for alumni and benefactors as well as prospective students and their parents at a variety of school-sponsored events. Student Ambassadors are expected to learn various facts and figures pertaining to the institution as well as properly convey the mission, philosophy, and message of La Salle College High School. Juniors, sophomores, and second semester freshmen are invited to apply. Applicants should have strong communication skills and must be in good academic and disciplinary standing and maintain that status throughout the school year.

The club is the perfect place to show off your knowledge and meet awesome people as well as compete in fun games and fast-paced competitions covering everything from history to pop culture. ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS

TRAVIS MANION FOUNDATION CLUB promotes character development, leadership, and service to the community, especially veterans and families of fallen heroes. The group is united in vision and purpose with the Travis Manion Foundation and its network of clubs in a spirit of profound gratitude and remembrance for the ultimate sacrifice of our brother and La Salle alum, 1st Lt. Travis Manion, USMC ’99, and his motto, “If Not Me, Then Who…”.

VOLLEYBALL CLUB is an inclusive recreational club where the love for the game and a welcoming atmosphere unite.

All skill levels are embraced, from beginners to experienced players. Experience relaxed matches, skill-building, and a strong sense of community. Discover the joy of volleyball!

WEXP is designed to give students an introductory experience in the world of mass media. Students gain knowledge in the areas of audio and video production as well as on-air talent. WEXP produces a morning show in addition to other feature broadcasts.

MISSION AND MINISTRY PROGRAMS The signs at the entrance and exit of the campus stand as a constant reminder of the school’s mantra. “Enter to Learn” establishes the belief that learning is a lasting endeavor.

“Leave to Serve” inspires a lifelong commitment to service, especially to those in need. Together, they guide young men on a path that brings creative and generous responses to the world. La Salle College High School students live their faith through their actions, recognize the interconnectedness of the world, and act on their obligation to remedy injustice. Through its many highly impactful service programs, La Salle fosters an awareness of local and world communities and the importance of taking responsibilities on both platforms.

The Office of Lasallian Mission and Ministry seeks to build a living faith community by providing religious experiences and service opportunities for both students and faculty.

Liturgical programs are celebrated at significant times throughout the year. A yearly retreat program is organized and conducted by the Office of Lasallian Mission and Ministry and assisted by many faculty members and student leaders. During their first retreat, the Signum Fidei Mission Day, the freshmen receive their class ties and learn about our Lasallian Charism. The retreat program builds with overnight options during junior and senior year.

Each October, the entire freshman class along with many of their fathers, “stand-in dads”, and nearly 50 members of the faculty/staff, engage in a day of service at over 30 different sites in the Philadelphia area. For over 25 years the freshman class has “branched out” in service to the community. In total, over 450 members of the La Salle community collectively provides over 1,600 hours of service to these organizations.

SUMMER SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES During the summer of 2026, nearly 300 rising juniors and seniors participated in one of 17 voluntary summer service projects located in eleven states and two countries.

LASALLIAN SERVICE Rooted in the spiritual and educational vision of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, La Salle empowers students to serve those in need. Service opportunities are open to all four levels of students and offers students a variety of opportunities to be of service to the wider community outside of La Salle College High School. Some special projects include tutorial services to elementary schools, Secret Santa, and providing services for those in special need. All this service is fostered in the spirit of faith and zeal which marks a Lasallian school and includes specific prayer, reflection, and dialogue among participants with the assistance of the Lasallian Mission and Ministry Staff.

•D uring the last five years, La Salle has captured 93 championships in 17 different sports (Philadelphia Catholic League Championships, District 12 Championships, Pennsylvania State Championships, and National Championships).

•4 1 members of the Class of 2026 will be playing 12 collegiate sports at 36 colleges and universities and, on average, 40 graduates each year move on to participate in athletics at the collegiate level.

INTRAMURALS Intramurals provide the opportunity for students to participate in athletics apart from the inter-scholastic competition. All intramural activities promote teamwork, provide opportunities for physical development, foster student-faculty social interaction, and expand students’ skills for lifetime activity. If a student participates in two intramural sports in the same year, he will earn a ½ credit toward his physical education requirement.
