Charting the Future of Oil, Gas & Energy in the Region
The 6th Malaysia Oil & Gas Services Exhibition and Conference (MOGSEC) takes place with the theme "Charting the Future of Oil, Gas & Energy in the Region".
The theme of the conference represents the positive outlook the industry has in bouncing back and moving forward, taking into account the development of the industry not only as Oil

& Gas service providers but as Energy service providers. The conference highlights the current state and future aspirations of the industry as set in the National OGSE Blueprint and what needs to be done to achieve the targets.
The iconic identity for the MOGSEC series is an exclusive event which showcases the players based in Malaysia. From its first appearance in 2012, it was clear that Malaysia has the home grown talent and capability to promote Malaysia as the region's Oil & Gas hub.
Tuan Syed Saggaf Syed Ahmad, Malaysian Oil, Gas & Energy Services Council's President comments, "The importance of the Oil and Gas, Services and Equipment (OGSE) sector in Malaysia cannot be denied. It is important that we create sustainable energy ecosystems in Malaysia. For Malaysian Oil, Gas and
Energy Services Council (MOGSC), in order to achieve this, we will continue our efforts to have an impactful engagement with all the stakeholders."
The inaugural edition of Petrochemicals Sustainability Conference
The Petrochemicals Sustainability Conference (PSC) 2022 by Malaysian Petrochemicals Association (MPA) and Knowledge Centre started on the first day of the event days. The conference is focusing on the challenges and how key industry stakeholders can navigate the transition towards net-zero carbon emissions.
The event closed its inaugural edition after 15 sessions over two days with host Mr. Akbar Md Thayoob, President of Malaysian Petrochemicals Association (MPA), summing up the actionable takeaways from the intense discussions on decar- bonisation, circular economy practices and the enablers supporting the transition.

Mr. Akbar Md Thayoob comments: "MPA will continue to advocate sustainability to all our members and also engage with all other stakeholders and parties to champion this as I think in the last couple of days we agree that this cannot be done by one industry. It takes the whole value chain and industries to be involved to make it happen. As a start, we make a commitment that all MPA members will have a baseline carbon footprint come 2024."
