Review : Heart Shaped Puzzle After I completed the border and the inside hearts I headed straight for the solid dark red roses and assembled them into their positions.

Then I attempted to work around the hearts that were already on the board as those pieces where shaped slightly different than the more common standard shaped pieces. Some of the pieces were actually a 'stretched' variation of random/grid-like and not so much as extremely random.

I continued to build around the heart shapes that were already in place and I started to add the pinks, whites and the small amounts of green colors into place.

There were actually some 'almost' black pieces that filled the background.

Then there were some 'sprigs' of white leafy-petal type pieces that were a little tricky too.

Review : Heart Shaped Puzzle

The Ravensburger Heart Shaped Puzzle is a such beautifully shaped image produced in 1999 and the image is by Ulrike Schneiders, who was born in Germany, and (like her father) is internationally recognized as one of the foremost still-life photographers.

Her images can be found in many brands of jigsaw puzzle companies.

These images share some of the close up roses and other 'sprigs' as I refer to them because I do not know what their title is.

Also the images share the great quality and cut of the ever so popular Ravensburger brand.

Review : Valentine Stamp Puzzle

The border went together so quickly I almost forgot to take a photo.

This image can be referred to as a collage type which meant basically putting clusters of pieces together and lying them into their perspective areas of the image.

Then the rest would simply fall into place. The random cuts were quite helpful too.

The scenes are a vintage era which is another favorite for me.

Review : Sweet Valentine Puzzle

For the border, I laid out the ribbon-grid like cut pieces according to the 2 different shapes, then following the image on the box I placed the piece into the approximated area of the border.

Near the end, it is a matter of checking several pieces into the respective spots over and over until it all fits correctly.

Review : Sweet Valentine Puzzle I started with all the large pink text and pink border decor at the top and bottom.

After that it was a matter of picking a delicious treat and locating the colors that matched up.

There was not a lot of white space between the treats so that was not even an issue.

As you can see in the progress how all the delicious treats took form leaving a small amount of whites and shades of pink and whites at the end.

The following images share the great quality of this super fun Eurographics jigsaw puzzle.

It is really nice to see these images in the larger size so you get a better view.

Sorting and the border on this Love Cookies Jigsaw Puzzle was fairly easy.

The cut, connection and feel of the pieces are great.

There is a nice gloss on the pieces giving the finished image a very nice gleam!

Review : LOVE Cookies Puzzle

As soon as I saw the Love Cookies Jigsaw Puzzle in the Thrift Store for only one dollar I had to have it.

I had never tried the Mega Brand before now so I was delighted to have the opportunity.

That said, I was VERY pleased that there were no missing pieces as this was a previously loved puzzle and the risk of puzzle pieces is always higher in that case.

Review :Quilted Hearts Puzzle

The border went together fairly quick. There is no poster with these puzzles but the box image does not have any distractions covering up the image so that's easy to manage.

Review :Quilted Hearts Puzzle I usually start with the most prominent colours or large sections but on this image it is a collage type therefore it has several different patterns and colours.

I assembled several clusters and created the work-inprogress image as shown. It really shaped up nicely and the pieces started to flow together quickly after that.

The following image shows a close up of the style of the cut.

The cut was not loose and fit quite nicely. I do like this cut and I was able to lift the entire assembled puzzle off the table and lay it back down without the pieces falling apart. The artwork is clean and precise, not to mention colourful. Of course my favourite heart is the jigsaw puzzle pattern in the bottom row.

The Quilted Hearts Puzzle and The Stained Glass Hearts Puzzle are two puzzles created by artist Anie Maltais who also started her own puzzle company called JaCaRou Puzzles. She is a true Puzzle-Prenuer. I have also had the pleasure of assembling the Zodiac puzzle by Anie as well.
