A Letter From DR. JUSTIN SMITH We stand in awe! Since the founding of our school in 1977, we have witnessed the Lord’s provision, protection, and guiding hand on our beloved community. Over the years, through generosity and faithful stewardship, our campus footprint has expanded, our programs and curriculum have grown, and our ability to serve families accelerates each day. We consider it a high honor to partner with your family and church through The Golden Triangle to serve a flourishing student body. We hope you can sense the intentionality and love behind everything we do. Enclosed in the Annual Review, you will see the work of people dedicated to serving the Lord and His school giving their time, talent, and treasure. The incredible generosity of the people of Warriorville humbles us as we see donations, gifts, service, and prayer fortifying the LRCA campus and community not only for the next four years, but for the next 40. From the House of Love to the House of Joy to the House of Enthusiasm across the creek to the House of Warriors, one thing is evident: teachers and students who love to learn, love the Lord, and love one another. With immense gratitude and deep sincerity, we thank you for investing in the present and future of Little Rock Christian Academy. A Letter From JIM FINK Little Rock Christian Academy operationally has experienced steady and controlled growth over the years with enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year at roughly 1,600 students. Donors over the years have invested in the campus and facility improvements allowing the school to operate debt-free. These factors have allowed the school to operate efficiently, recruit and retain quality mission-minded teachers and staff, while keeping tuition increases within a reasonable range in relation to inflation. As last year’s theme referenced, we have “10,000 Reasons” to be grateful. We are thankful to all our families, teachers, staff, students, churches, and partners who have planted, served, and invested in our mission of providing a PK-12 grade education characterized by excellence in the pursuit of truth from a Christ-centered worldview. So, how fitting is it for the 2023-2024 school theme to be “Like a Tree Planted”? From a financial and operations perspective, our theme is so applicable given the just completed elementary expansion to house 650+ elementary students. This 16,000 square feet expansion puts a new face on the House of Love and positions it well to serve current students and families. It is a blessing the elementary project is fully funded and made possible through the generous gifts of our donor partners. On August 10, 2023, we stopped to thank God for His provisions and to thank our donors for their support. Our elementary students now have a kitchen for the preparation of fresh nutritional food along with a commons area where they can sit and enjoy the food with classmates. The EL Commons area has been designed for multiple uses including chapel and housing after school care. In addition to the commons area there is an innovation lab, library, and classrooms for art, STEM and music. We can’t wait to see the fruit from the 650+ little trees planted under the roof of this facility and the many young trees hereafter. Also with donor gifts, the school has been able to turf the baseball field, add a high school pavilion, install new HVAC equipment in the junior high, and add protective film to glass windows at and near building entrances. Little Rock Christian Academy is truly “Like a Tree Planted” by streams of water. May God bless and allow His school to prosper and yield fruit through those we serve for years to come. A Letter From GENE WHISENHUNT As members of the Warrior community, we witnessed another year of blessings, provision, and protection in 2022-2023 as we worked diligently to fulfill our mission. Our mission to partner with families, churches, and our community to provide an excellent education to our students with a foundation on the truth of Jesus Christ is as important as ever in our world today. This partnership, referred to as The Golden Triangle, is critical to prepare our students to enter the world, succeed in their calling, and make a difference for the Kingdom. We appreciate you walking with us in this partnership. The 2022-2023 school year was full of blessings: • • • • • • • •

It was so appropriate that our theme was “10,000 Reasons”. We experienced the final year of Dr. Gary Arnold’s tremendous, missional leadership as Head of School. His 16 year tenure brought growth in enrollment, facilities, academics, and committed faculty and staff. We were thankful Gary and Karen accepted the call to join us at LRCA as they have truly made a difference and prepared us for a great future. Fortunately, they will remain in our Warrior community as Gary will serve as LRCA’s Foundation President. As the Board searched for God’s will in Gary’s successor, we looked at several alternatives. During this process, it became clear that Dr. Justin Smith was the person to lead us into the future. Dr. Smith and Amanda moved to Little Rock six years ago as part of our leadership team. His impact has been evident and the fact that his family is already a part of the Warrior community is an added blessing. The Board of Trust is confident in our future under Dr. Smith’s leadership. We are grateful for God’s abundant blessings and provisions during the past year. The Board of Trust will continue to be diligent in our efforts to be good stewards of all that has been provided to this school and to our mission. With gratitude,

There’s so much to be said about the 16,000+ square feet addition to the House of Love that was completed in time for the start of school and debt-free. First of all, our deepest gratitude is for God’s guidance and provision, and then to all of the mission-minded donors who invested in the eternal and effective education of our youngest Warriors.
Students say they love seeing everyone from their whole grade when they gather for lunch and chapel. Kiddos are especially fond of the new soft-serve ice cream machine. (Teachers love it too!)

Reading books is linked with reducing stress, anxiety, and depression as well as exercising the part of the brain that improves focus, concentration, vocabulary, and much more! These new educational zones are home to big ideas, big imaginations, and big learning.
Students are bathed in natural light while in the library and Innovation Lab. The collaborative spaces are equipped with windowed garage doors that open to an outdoor classroom/amphitheater space.
