The Th eme ... In Our Own World.
This schoo l year, the publications class has w o rked their hardest to give you Sco tt' s fir st co o r yearbook ever! We thought that the theme , " In Our Own Wor ld " would really relate to the students of Scott And even better, we haven 't eve r had a yearbook anything like this at Sc ott Middle School be f o re . There we re about 27 really great themes pres ent ed to be chosen fr o m, but this one had the most votes to be used as t he 2008-2009 yearbook theme.
ABOVE : Han nah Cornish created th is yea r's yearbook theme !
O:Why did you choose this theme?
A:" Because there has never been anything like it at Scott, it really revolves around the st udents, and because our schoo l li fe is just like a mini world inside of the rea l world ."

The Stoey of the Kid Who Got His Had Stuolc In a Chair!
Marty Qosp9darski got his head stuck in a chair 6th period in Mr. Zetterman 's class. It was about a month into school when this incident happened . We interviewed Marty and this is what his story is: "I was in Mr Zetterman 's class stacking chairs like we do every day. Everyday I try to put my head in the hole of the chair, I usually don 't suceed but that day I shoved my head in really hard I wasn 't expecting it to get stuck, but it did. I wasn 't scarred but it hurt a little bit. Mr . Zetterman called my dad to inform him that my head was stuck. Mr. Rump , Mrs Christiancy , and Mr. Zetterman were trying to get my head out. Mrs. Christiancy finally got it out with Kiwi scented hand soap. My head was really 1reasy but at least my head was out. It smelled good to people, but I didn 't like the smell of Kiwi. " Marty will probably remember this moment forever. Hopefully he won 't try it again.

This year fo r our Scott Middle School Yearbook, we decided to na me our theme "In Our Own World " , The whole yearb ook staff thou5iht this was an awesome theme beca use if you really think about it our school has all so rts of people and personalities with·n it, in a way it 's li ke we have our own little world confined in our scho ol walls!
"FIN ALLY! The year is over, hoping for the perfec t summer break! And when we come back we get t o be the big dogs on top, we are the oldest kid s in the school!"
7th Grade is one of the most exciting times of your life aftd doo't forget it. You'll look back on e day and wish you cherished those special moments e ven more, like the first time you trippe d on the stairs going to a class, or the first time the water fountain suddenly splashes up and squirts you in the face.
Remem ber that old saying "Make new friends , but keep the old, one is silver, and the others gold .", that's kind of how Seventh grade is, you 've ma de all of these cool n,w friends from 6th gra de but now you 're probably in different class es or even pods, IT'S TH£ PERFECT CHAN CE! No matter what, people will always get al ong with you so go out there and meet new peop le, meet a different type of group. You can make yourself, and this world, so don't just sit t here, go out and do your thing!

Pop Tabs
A successful year it was. Every year builders club puts on a "drive" for 8th graders to gather as many pop tabs as they can and then at the end of the year Scott donates everything to the Ronald Mcdonald house.

Dear 8th graders, We have gone through so much these past three years. There have been the good times and some bad, we've been friends and foes. Now, we finally have come to the end of our middle school journey but thankfully we will all meet up again next year but this - -....--- .. ime ... as High Schoolers.
