The Old Edition Plus Much, Much More

This year, Scott Middle School experienced many small "edits" that made a big difference. This was our fir t year a a true middle school , going from grades seven eight, and nine to grade six, even, and eight. We welcomed several new students, teacher , and even a new principal. Some of our rule and procedures were modified as well. After all the

Although many things are different about Scott Middle School , this was not a whole new beginning. Some things remained the same, like tbe building and classroom . Basically, all we did was a little "cropping" around the big picture of our school and ended up with an-improved version of the old edition. As students, we are proud to be a part of the ew Edition , but keep in mind It is the old edition plus much , much editing wa complete, the tudents more! and staff had to adjust to the changes. Most agree that we adjusted well.

These 8th grade teachers are familiar with each other and the school.
7th graders visit the same lockers that have been used by other students in the past.
These two girls were one of the many 6th graders that ente red Scott Middle School for the first time.

Making the yearbook - not all kids play.

Hey, Seo~ Stars don~t let these cute ''babies" fool you, they're really in 8th grade! These ''babes" made your totally cool newspaper, the Orbit, and this very awsome yearbook, the Galaxy. Neat, hu? We aren't all work-aholics but we didn't slack off either. We hope you enjoy this yearsbook and have wonderful memories of your 2002-2003 school year. by Jake Schubert

Be1ng the oldest in the school is great. It's the year we all look forward to frorri that first tninute we walked in these doors . There are a lot of choices . frorri Construction Technology to Orchestra or FCS . they will becorrie part of your daily schedual for either a serries ter or the who le year.

Now that the school is 6 7 8 . its the first year eighth graders are at the top. V;e have already planned a special trip to ~ahoney Park at the end of the year Ruling the roost corries with special responsibilities . Since we are used to the school . teachers expect rriore of us had to adapt to sorrie of Scott's new cha_nges such as planners and lunch tirrie but we have had a great tirrie .

The fcicu!ty at Scott Middle School is very unique For example/ every techer has a different and _unique persona/ity. Some of the teachers are fun creative and easygoing and others/ well ... we'll just say/ are not . But without teachers/ who would educate us-? Vvho would help shape us into the brilliant people they know we can be? And what would we do without the admimstration that help keep us 1n line? They are there to set the rules and create the standards/ though some may find them harsh I they are usuallyfa1r. And what would we do without the office staff? All those happy faces/ ready to help whenever they can. The lunchroom staff and the custodians are some of the most important people at school. The lunchroom staff keep us happy and fed. The custodians keep Scott a nice/ clean place to learn.
