T I V I I E
Over 90 students participated in the two 7th grade bands. They met 6th and 7th period. These groups combined to perform for the 7th grade team. Each band had two separate evening concerts. Many students from these bands participated in the Lincoln Public Schools Solo and Ensemble and preformed for the Band ' s Soup Supper.
8th and 9 th G rade Band
Over 10 0 students participat ed in the 1st and 2nd period 8th and 9th grade bands. The 8th grade band performed tw o prog rams for the 8th grade students on music and its roll i n the Civil Wa r. They also had two separate evening concerts The 2nd period 8th and 9th grade band had the opportu nity to perform at the University of Nebraska for th e mus ic education majors They competed in the Li ncoln Public Schoo l's Co ncert Band Contest and performed t wo concerts for the student body. Many students fr om th is band participated in the Lincoln Public School's Solo and Ensemble , perfor med for the Band's Soup Supper a nd participated in various ~onor Bands.

The 5th period Jazz Band performed several concerts for the student body , as well as the Lincoln Public Schools Jazz Band Contest and in three evening concerts. They also hosted Swingin g With Th e Stars a swing dance and performed for the Band ' s Soup Supper. Most of the Students in this class participated in the Lincoln Public Schools Solo and Ensemble Contest.
