The Red Cross Student Council Representatives have enjoyed a busy and fruitful year under the leadership of Susan Wachtel and Laura Hamming, co - presidents.
The Pound Council takes particular pride in the fact that nearly all projects completed were done so with only the use of our own funds. Examples of such projects include our Jack-o-lanternPartyand Easter Egg Hunt at White Hall and our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
All school drives played an important part in our keystrip project, toy drive for Indian children, and food for a needy family.
On several occasions the Council asked talented student groups such as the Triple Trio, Dance Band, Flute Trio and gymnasts to help in programs in the community. The Art Department and Home Econorrics department also 11 lent helping hands.1'
Throughout the year's work, many worked and shared their time and effort to help others.
Patti Hansen, Assignment Editor; Betty Hansher, Art Editor; Cathi Keller, Editor; Dick Hildebrand, Assistant Editor; Laura Hammang, News Editor; Genene Brown, Girls Sports; Mike Wilcox, Advertising and Circulation Manager; Larry Wilcox, Boys Sports; Greg Jensen, Mimeograph Chairman.
