Four years ago Mr . Carroll came to Park as principal.
Today many look up to him and respect him. When becoming principal he set a goal to have Park become a role model school in five years.
Today as principal he wants to be the best he can be and continue looking for new avenues to support teachers, parents , and students.
Mr Carroll would like to see students understand they can reach any goals they set their mind to. He wants students to know that Park's staff is here to help.
Park is the place where he feels mostly alive and this is where he will stay.
Mrs. Eisler has been with Park since August 25, 1997 as Associate Principal. She has been in education for twenty-five years. Mrs. Eisler loves working with younger people.
There are no improvments that she wants to see at Park.
One of Park ' s greatest stengths is that Park has a muliti culture advantage which puts us ahead of all other schools in Lincoln. It takes everyone here to make Park School what it is.

''I have come to a frightening conclusion. I am the decisive element in the classroom. It is my personal approach and behavior which creates the classroom climate. It is my behavior which sets the daily mood. I possess tremendous power. I can make a student's life miserable or joyous.
I can humiliate, humor, hurt or heal. It is my duty to enter the room with a smile and a kind word for every child. It may be the only one they hear today. "

Many Lincoln residents - awoke Sunday morning, Oct. 26, 1997 to no electricity and no heat.
People were shocked to discover all the damage that had gone unnoticed while they were asleep.
Trees laid uprooted, limbs and, downed power-lines across lawns. Cars had been smashed by uprooted trees that had fallen in the night, yet many of us did not hear a thing, not even a crack.
Who would hav guessed a storm that was only suppose to give us a few inches would've had to cancel school for a week and take out o ver half the town's power .
People's first reaction was a shock but soon wore off and quickly turned to panic. Stores were swarmed with people, the shelves were soon cleared, while others tried to get their electricity back, with little success, from calling L.E.S., because lines were always busy ..
People feared how long the power was going to be out. With no heat, many people had to leave their homes because it was so cold in their house, and stay with someone more f ortunate. While others were unable
to come out of their houses for serious safety reasons.
Grocery stores threw out pounds of meat and frozen goods that were spoiled.
We are proud to live in a city like Lincoln so that when a tragedy should strike neighbors help neighbors, friends help friends, and enemies will join forces to make it through an ordeal like this. .
The school day was lengthened 50 minutes for the rest of the first semester. Many of the students complained, but in the end saw that it was the best way to make up our lost time.
To our biggest surprise we found it would cost us millions of dollars in damages. But still the cleanup would take the longest. We w ould start on the worst and end on the best. They estimated that it would take at least up until summer.
