Drama: Getting Into the Act
We have a new Drama director at Mickle this year, Mr. Guenzel who helped set up the Havelock Extended Learning Program for the Lincoln Public Schools and then taught English ·and Drama at Everett JHS. This year drama will be putting on assemblies and a play for us.

Orchestra: A Collection Of Many Sounds
Orchestra places an emphasis on classical music which they practice all year. They put on several assemblies and take trips to elementary schools All of the students are there because of Mr . Quick's recommendations.

Journalism .
This year there are 1 2 members in Journalism These students learn many different skills in this class. Their teacher is Mrs. Hammer. It's not an easy job teaching this many students how to spot news and write it quickly and neatly. These students also write the Mickle Missile. Mrs. Hammer deserves a lot of credit.

This has been an eventful year for Red Cross. They sponsored several dances such as the Halloween dance and Spring dance. They made the dress-up day possible for us , and they got the carolling group together. The credit just can't go to the students i n Red Cross , but the sponsors too. It was really a great year.

This year Student Advisory organized many projects for M i ckle. They sponsored the hol i day dance and they sold the class buttons. This year SAG members were picked by the student body. Mrs , Ogden and Mrs . Woods were the teacher representatives. SAG really made this year better .

lntramurals, a step closer to the real thing.
lntramurals is a system in school to involve 7th and 8th graders in sports on a district-wide basis. It is designed to let them develop experience in a variety of sports , and most important, just to have fun.
