It seems as though teachers spend a majority of their time correcting papers , making lesson plans and preparing for the day Students usually forget that teachers lead lives outside of school. Many of them spend time together on weekends and relax i ng at home with their families. We're thankful for the time and effort that they put into their classes and our education.

Red Cross The New Beginning
This year Red Cross honored Mrs . Schuster for 1 0 years of helping students get started in community service. She was awarded a plaque and a corsage. Thank you Mrs. Schuster. Her successors, Mrs. Christensen and Mrs. Johnson, have been doing very well as their first year is almost through. They have continued Mrs. Schuster's concept of Red Cross which is developing community awareness, getting kids involved in . group activities and the building of the school spirit.

Stresses Communications
Student Advisory was designed to give students a channel of communications with administration, teachers and each other. Their second emphasis was to plan activities for students such as the Mickle Mash, Spirit Week and interMt groups. Student Advisory is planning to continue next year but with a change in focus.

Cross country has a moderate year with runner Ti m Kovar placing 23rd i n the City. Wrestling has two City Champs , Bryon Bronn and Jon Fredricks Th i s year the Heavyweights ended their season with a 4-1-0 record and received second place in the city .- The Lightweights went one better to first place with •• their 4-2-0 season.

Most Mickle teams seem to be taking 2nd this year. The boy's Reserve Basketball and girl's Varsity Gymnastics are no exception, they both won 2nd in city.

Volleyball has its ups . . .
The Girl's Varsity Volleyball team ended their season with a 7-1-0 record. There was a 3-way tie for City between Mickle , East, and Culler. The Girl's Reserves record was somewhat different. They ended with 2-6-0. However, both teams deserve a hand .
