MIXED CHORUS MUSICAL

"Peaceful Valley'' Directed by Dennis Criser

"Peaceful Valley" is a musical written by Lois Gourske and Louise Summer. It is about a young girl named Laurel , who goes to the city to participate in a music clinic. During the time that she is at the music clinic, she falls in love with Lancelot Fletcher III. Since Laurel was from a small town, Lance figured that she and all the rest of the family were hillbillies. So when he went home with Laurel at the end of the music clinic, everybody in her home town acted as Lance thought they would-like Hillbillies. At the square dance Lance and Laurel got into a big argument and Laurel walked out on him. As it turned out Lance fell in love with Azalea , Laurel's younger sister, and Laurel goes back to her old boyfriend Sam.
