I t eems that no one can agree on one solid definition for Lux Middle S chool. And yet it i true that we can agree that Lux i a safe place fo r friends, education, and success. An d what better way to determine a defin ition of Lux than to a k . the stud ent and staff member what Lux means to them? "Lux has a great faculty and staff who work h ard to help kid learn at the highest level possible. Mo t importantly Lu x has great kid ; kids who are respectful, kind , hard-working eager to learn--just great kid ," ays Mr. B ucher , the principal of L ux. Mr . Dlugosh , the vice -principal, ay , "Lux is a place where w e care ab out each other and treat everyone with respect. " It eem th at the tudent get a lot of recog0 o oO o 0
purpo e and inspiration of Lux s exi tence. They are tomorrow ' s leader ," ay Mr . Glathar , the 8th grade counselor. In the words of Zach Smith from team 8A , "The tudents take pride in what they do to make Lux really true. "
"As we ' ll dis cover , meeting new people and building stronger relationships is a huge part of being in middle school. "
-Nikki Roehrs , 7C
But the staff also takes a lot of credit. " People who work at Lux are dedicated and yet know how to make their jobs fun , even though teaching at the middle chool level can be a tremendous challenge, say Mrs. Mercure , an 8B
encouraging us to try harder and to be the be t we can. o one is afraid to try ," Paige Snook from team 6E ay And then there is ju t...Lux. Liz Perry of team 7 B say , "Lux i s a coloration of spirit and di versity. Thi school has the view on every standpoint and i a fabulous and very fortunate school. " " I think I still learn omething or grow accu tomed to something everyday ," ays Will Hertzler from team 6E. Overall , " a middle chool is meant to provide memorie , opportunitie , and preparation for the next few step into high chool and college ,' ays Sydney John on , team 7C. So , ju t like the people at Lux Middle School , the e definition are all very different , but convey the ame general me age " LUX ROCKS!! "
(Mr s Mercure , team 8B )
