* Juniors *
It is coming to the end of the year for all of us juniors.
. Wive been here at Lincoln High for three years now and it's "been. like a ride on a roller coaster. Ups and downs have fil1ed this year and the past years as ·welL Going to the dances has "been. fim and doing all of the spirit activities also. Being involved with LHS for so many years brings somewhat of a joy to you. In the future you can say that you hiuI been a LINK and went to one of the best schools anybody could offer. You can be one of the many generations that have graduated from Lincoln High a1111 also attended LHS for the four years it hiuI to offer. Don't look back on the worst or even the horrible things t"hat you hiuI did at LHS but instead look upon the good it has brought to you and the good it will have upon you in your coming years. Becoming seniors can be scary to some 'because it gets them. to realizing that becoming seniors gets you to that next giant step of being freshmen in college. I can't wait to go to college and then come back and see all the people that I went to school with. I thin:k a lot of people like coming back and seeing where their friends have ended up at and seeing what t~'re doing with their lives.

Lincoln High Student Council is a Fund Raising, Dance Planning, School Cleaning, Blood Collecting mean machine. Consisting of student representatives from all four grades and all the racial caucus, StuCo has been very active this year.
The goal of Student Council is to make Lincoln High a better place as well as to help those in need like the Invisible Children, the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and by setting up a blood drive.
Under the leadership of Social Studies teacher Jim Perry, the students got more iflvolved than ever this year in speaking up for the student body. Late in the school year, members collected data to see if turning off the bells would have an effect on attendance and tardies. For one week LHS students went from class to class without the shrill buzzing and clanging of the passing bells. Depending on the findings, students could return next year to a quieter, more peaceful school.
- Regardless, StuCo will continue to be a driving force to make Lincoln High the best place to be
