As the first sixth graders in Lefler Middle School, it seemed as if we came to ,, a whole different world. We met new people, friendships grew so much stronger, and we became closer to people than ever before. Although we will be_rJ7ovjng on to different schools, our memories here _ at Lefler will never be forgotten. -Essentially, we came to this school for an education, but we received much more than that. We now have some of the most important people in our lives.
As the first graduating class of the sixth grade, and the Class of 2010, we will never forget all the people that made us into better individuals, helped us through our hard times, and gave us more than we could ask for. This isn't the end of everything we have gained and accomplished, it's just the beginning.

7th Grade
Even though it was their second year here at Lefler, it was a year of many firsts. The seventh graders got to participate in intramural sports. They also took French, got new teachers, and had more homework every night. A downside to being in seventh grade was that the teachers were less lenient with horseplay. This year the seventh graders participated with the ~ighth grade business class, by purchasing items made by the eighth graders. When asked, some classes they were looking forward to were :Orama and Publications. Good luck in eighth grade!

This year's sixth graders were just in time to celebrate 50 won-derful years of teaching here at Lefler. It may be only their first year here, but they quickly got accustomed to the Lions way of life. The sixth graders had to adjust to a bigger school, seven classes per day, all new friends, and all new teachers. The sixth graders at Lefler came from Randolph, Elliot, Eastridge, Haw-thome, Holmes, and even some outside of Lincoln all together. Have fun with the rest of your Lefler career!

Over the years, Lefler has had a great tradition of fun and educational activities, such as Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, CLC (YMCA), Drama club, Student Council, Choir, and the Science Olympiad. This year our Student Council, has raised a lot of money through fundraisers, and the new "Lefler Store".
After thirty-five years of teaching English and serving as the student council advisor, Ms. Olsen is retiring. Thanks for everything! We will miss you.

This years sports was a year to remember. With basketball, fl n~ football, cross country, wrestling, track and volleyball as the school athletics. It all started with 7th and 8th grade flag football. After an extraordinary football season, the 7th and 8th grade girls played volleyball. After a stellar volleyball year, it came time for the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball in the winter, followed by 7th and 8th grade girls basketball. ,
"I think that the highlight of this year has to be the 8th grade flag football team going undefeated for two years. Also we have h 2.c other success in the other sports that were played," said Mr. Pappa ~ . the activities and sports director.
"Even though we didn't achieve our goal of being undefeated ~ we played as a team and had tons of fun,' .' said Morgan Thompson. Lefler has improved over the years , and will keep improving, hopefully. This year's sixth and seventh graders are as talented as ever, and Lefler seems to have a bright future in not only sports, but everything in life.

This year Lefler 8th grade flag football team went undeafeated going 4-0 and adding to la t year undefeated season when we went 3-0 making us 7-0. The team the Lions beat were Park , Lux , Goodrich D awes , Park , orth tar and Scott.
