The decade of the 60's was a time of many changes in the United States. It included the beginning of the Vienam War . This caused a lot of people to be angry· with the United States. It also included everyone's favorite band, The Beatles. They were the music highlight of this decade. John Lennon even declared that The Beatles were more popular than Jesus! Adding to the 60's was the civil rights movement. It caused many deaths including the one of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Lastly, towards the end of the decade Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the ........,.......__ first men to walk on the moon in 1969.

An Interview With Mr. Knight
We decided ·to interview Mr. Knight for the yearbook. Mr. Knight was born in Cincinnati and moved to Beatrice, NE a couple of years later. He has lived in ·Lincoln since he was four years old. He has been teaching since 1981, for about twenty-four years. His favorite subject to teach is reading because of the variety. Mr. Knight also likes math because the students enjoy it more.
In his spare time, Mr. Knight likes to go on bike rides , take things apart, read, and walk in the wild country (which he says, can also be the halls of Irving). Mr. Knight's favorite movie is The Man Who Would Be King, a historical movie.
