About Irvi ng
Irving was built in 1927. It was the first middle school in Nebraska. Irving was named after an American author, Washington Irving. 2003-2004 was the fir t year that it was changed from seventh grade through ninth grade, to sixth through eighth grade. Now Irving is a school within a school. The sixth graders go through a completely different schedule than the seventh and eighth graders.
This year's food drive was a spectacular success. We donated over 12,000 cans to people in need of a Thanksgiving dinner. We also obtained a fabulous piece of artwork that sits by the Ea t entrance. Generous parents helped us get the bicycle entitled the Tour de Lance.
Irving has had only three principals: Mr. Fol om, Dr. Grassmeyer, and Mr. David Van Horn. There are great experiences here at Irving, but you have to go find them. Now Enjoy the rest of the yearbook of the classes of 2003-2004.
