8th grade is fun but it takes a lot of responsibility ·being the top dogs of the school. 6th and 7th grades look up to us and we have to do our best to be good role models. Hoping for them to follow in our footsteps and take a walk in our shoes. Tala Canby talks about what it means to be a 8th grader. She states, "being an 8th grader means I'm almost a high schooler and getting closer to becoming and adult and taking on my responsibilities." We also talked to Jakeya Murry, she says, "In 8th grade you have to be a role model to everybody that is younger. You are the leaders in the school." 8th graders are role models for 6th and 7th graders so that they make good decisions. In conclusion, 8th graders can't wait for next generations to learn what it's like to take a walk in the shoes of 8th graders. To learn what its like to have people look up to you and believe in you. To support your dreams and take a chance on education and the future. So here's to the 8th graders it their final year here and we cant wait to see how they turn out.

Middle school is really intimidating for 6th graders. Having to find lockers and classes in a big school is pretty hard. Along with that, gettiog along with teachers and peers can be hard. We asked 6th graders who their favorite teachers are and what's intimidating about 6th grade, Lebee S. (left above) .said Mr. Adams was her favorite teacher because he's fun and sporty, and said the work is the most intimidating thing. Melissa G. (right above) said that Mr. Adams is also her favorite teacher because he's nice and funny, and said the most intimidating thing is meeting new people. This year for 6th graders is way different than last year. Coping with having multiple teachers and possibly having to find new friends is one of the many challenges these students will face in middle school. In the end, being in 6th grade is really fun because you make memories and experience new things.
•
Ray M.(left) said his favorite teacher is Mrs.Codr because she's fun. Angel L. (right) said his favorite teacher is Ms.Baker because she's fun and likes to do
Eren R. said her favorite teacher is Ms. Baker because she is fun and and does a lot of fun activities. Also said that she finds boys most intimidating games
Ezrayah E. said her favorite teacher is Mr. Brown because he is cool. Quiana K. said her favorite teacher is Mrs. Speidell because she teaches art and art is her favorite subject.

~ports are all about passion, ·fun, team work, and the W's. i\t Goodrich • sportsmanship is very im_portant, but we also play aggressive too. We have great sport teruns filled with athletic stars.
When asked about their favorite NBA player, 7th grader Jare £lliot said "Russel Westbrook" and Ja Reese Buzby answered "LeBron James." The pair were also asked why do you plaJ'? Ja Reese said, "I enj)y it and think it's fun" Jare said, "Because my brother plays." • l\S you can see, we have great athletes that woul 1 be the same without role models.
All in all, Goodrich is proud to have the • great athletes we have today. Their mission is to play hard and get a W's every game.

Time to take a walk in the shoes of the people responsible for making the yearbook. Making the yearbook can be a lot of work. Here's what the yearbook staff has to say about it. When asked what it is like to work on the yearbook Zayra J. said "Its pretty fun, but difficult. I still like it though, its a fun experience." In my opinion making they yearbook is really cool. Now, it may seem easy, but it really is a lot of work!

Knowing what .you want to be in the future is very important. Whether it's a vet, firefighter or athlete most kids come up with something they want to be. We asked 6th grader Daniel G. what he wanted to be when he grows up, he said "I'd love to be a meteorologist because weather is so interesting and I want to keep people safe when weather hits". People come to school to learn and be successful, and that's exactly what they want when they grow older. Looking at what you want to be as an adult can help you set goa1s and achieve your dreams.
Jezreel C. (7th grader)said "I want to be a doctor because doctors are smart and help people."
Quiana K. (6th grader) said "I want to be an art teacher when I'm older because I loves art and would love to teach people about it. 11
Cardin N. (8th grade) said "I wantto work in the military to help people so they don't get harmed."

We think its important to think about your future so we asked some students what they wanted to do in the future. When we asked students what they wanted to be in the future their responses where amazing. We asked Rukhsara B, what she wanted to be she said 11 1want to be a engineer because I like creating things from scratch." Rukhsara B, shows that you can follow your dreams and do what you want. She also shows that students at Goodrich have different personality's and that Goodrich students think about their future and that whatever they do they can become what they want! So when we asked students at Goodrich middle school they had their futures planned out and they are working harder and harder everyday to succeed.

Goodrich Staff are more than just teachers that teach. There are many interesting things students don't know about them.
Teachers have many interesting tales to tell. For example, student teacher Mr.Hudson ,told us an interesting tale. 11 1threw up in most of my football games in high school. 11 11 We won every single one I vomit in." Yikes! Maybe his vomit was good luck!

Outsider's Day is the day 7th graders get to dress up as there favorite character from the Outsiders. And it is a fun day to be a soc or a greaser.
We asked Karah 8. and she said she loved the Outsiders because it was so real and touching. We also asked her if she dressed up. She said she dressed as Sodapop Curtis Finally we asked her who was her favorite character. she told us, 11 1personally loved Dallas because of his personality and the way he acts. Andi like Two-bit because he's funny.
The Outsiders is a great book and a great movie. And now a lot of_7th graders like it just like Karah.
To conclude this, Outsiders Day is a fun day and it is a good story. I feel like everyone should read this book or if you don't like to read, then you should watch the movie.
