M.r. Mann is a man of many talents
Bet you can't do this!
He then took a job as a advertisement representative for KLKN radio, for about a year and a half. Mr. Mann was then offered to write science curriculum for ESL students. Once finished with that he took his current job as a science teacher at Goodrich Middle School, which he has been doing for ten years. Mr. Mann has had other offers to teach at other schools, but has chosen to stay with Goodrich He also has a summer job as a "Never let your students see you cry" "Hire a cop or mother"
Century 21 Home and Farm Real Estate agent.
Today Mr. Mann lives with his wife of nineteen years, Sara, and his two children, Erica a seventh grader and Spud, a fifth grader. Mr. Mann is a v,ery active member in his church. He is an elder at the Zion Church, and plays the trumpet every Sunday. In addition, he also leads a accountability group every Friday morning at 6:30 am. Most of his students know that he is very fit, but most don't know that he and his wife run four to six miles everday. Throughout ·his nineteen years of teaching, Mr. Mann has been a faviorte among his students. He uses fun experiments and stories instead of long boring lectures to teach his students. Because of this, Mr. Mann has been awarded the Cooper Award for his good teaching. For being a great teacher for nineteen years, we, the Yearbook Staff, dedicate the Goodrich 19981999 yearbook to Mr. Dennis Mann, and wish him further success with his teaching.

As the year went by, Goodrich students discovered yet another new line of designer clothes. "FUBU" became popular early last year. Throughout the halls you could find the guys sporting FUBU with dark blue jeans and different colored football jerseys. Girls however, showed off their nice bods with flared jeans and cute little shirts, usually with a small "FB " embroidered on the front. Everybody's wearing it.
From bright, neon green to dark, majestic purple, this FUBU frenzy became one of the most popular designer brands worn this year.

... even for a picture. The 8th graders are alwa):S on the move. The four minufe passing time is .a blur when yot1 have to sque~ze gossiping with friends , exchanging notes, using the restroom, P.Owdering the nose, greeting the crew, and g_etting to class on time. No wonder students Tall asleep in class! But these 8th graders better get their act together before their freshman year. When it all counts.

"Gettin' jiggy wit it" at the first Student Council Dance. The first Dance is something the seventh ·graders look forward to, as it is a teenage rite of passage. Middle School brings many changes to the lives of these former elementary students. Middle school means lockers, homework, more responsibility, getting to class on time, and absolutely no recess!

(below) Floyd Colone vi its Goodrich to motivate tudent to go to college and not to drop out of high chool.
Earlier this year the UNL Wrestling Team visited Goodrich Middle School to . kick off "The Husker Helping Hands Food Drive". This food drive was a city wide attempt to help those in need during the cold winter months, and the Husker's wrestlers really motivated us to donate canned food. As an added incentive our principal, Bess Scott, promi'sed to cut off an inch of her long locks for every 200 cans of food our school donated.
In one week, we raised an amazing 2000 cans of food. Ms. Scott held to her promise, and cut off a whole foot of her hair. Keeping in the spirit of giving it was donated to "Locks of Love", a national orginazation which provides free wigs for people who lose hair due to medical conditions. This PRIDE inspiring event taught us to give to our community.
In tum, the Goodrich neighborhood community gave back. Throughout the year Goodrich had many visitors. Some came to teach us about abstinence. Others came to motivate us in science, and Joe Ballard visited Goodrich to make us aware of drugs , and how to make good life choices.
We appreciated the time and effort these community members offered to make us aware of how important it is to be good citizens, and how we can contribute toward our future.
