Student Life- Unusual, as Usual!

The Uniqueness of Goodrich

Roaming the rialls, looking around, many d iff erences can be found We do not wear m a sk s to hide what we feel, we're open and ho ne st to face what is real . We are encouraged t o J o what we feel is right, to make our own d ecisions, free as a kite. We are not told wha t t o do or say, each person has the right to live t ei r own way . The personalities found at Goo d rici1 are rare, those who see our faults still care . C r friends are those who are true, they like us _.r who we are, not what we do Every tea c • 1 and student possesses a special tool, and v n that make up the uniqueness of this scho o

Moving On Up

Working Towards The Future

Special Friend

You'll always be my special friend We'll be together till the end. Our smiles have greeted each other since we met. We've helped each other, listened and cared, and we're yet to begin to explore the thoughts and feelings of our hearts and minds . It'll be like this till time ends, because you'll always be my special friend.

Ninth Grade Togetherness

Together

We came from different places, With decidedly different faces, And yet we're all the same, - on the inside

We have the same hopes, fears, and dreams, We have new ideas We're in new surroundings There are new people: New friends and new teachers - yet so much remains the same

We are the leaders of the future and sometimes it's hard - really hard - setting a goal and reaching it.

But working together, we pull through And we know if we Just hold on We'll make it - Together

How About Those Ninth Graders?!

Getting Better All the Time

Most people see being a ninth grader as a privilege , but it has its "ups and downs." First of all, there is a lot of work involved. Homework increases and more is expected of the ninth grade class.

There are arso some "ups" for ninth graders . Sports become more competitive, grades become more important, and friendships are lasting. Most importantly, there is promotion; this is one of the main highlights of the year, definitely an "up!"

People also begin to look at ninth graders more as mature individuals who accept responsibilities wetl. Mr . Schulenberg, a ninth grade English teacher, enjoys "talking one to one with the students - they're so mature and fun to be around."

Mr Bayne, a ninth grade Social Studies teacher, described the ninth grade class as diverse "When I look at the ninth grade class as a whole, I see many different groups."

During the 1990-91 year, the ninth grade class stuck together through the good times and the bad. This year will be one they will always remember.
