Flag Football

Flag football is a very popular sport here at Goodrich this year. Thi s sport got the ladies involved like Paige Skillett who said, "My favorite part is playing and going for the victory!" On a scale of 1-10 ( 10 being the highes t of course) she gave her team a 9 1/2. Wi 1 Chamberlin , a fellow player said hi s favorite part was, "The fact tha it takes teamwork and when we ' re all doing well , we're happy. " He gives hi s team an 8 on the 1-10 scale when he was asked to rank hi s team. They won 1 game, loss 1, tied 1, and the la st game wa s cancelled. Mr. Saunders said that he enjoys coaching the team and gave them a 9 on the 1-10 scale, "A lot of heart , a lot of effort." Thi ; year's 8th graders taught the 7th graders many thing about flag football. From throwing to pass ing to kicking. Friend s are crucial at Goodrich. Every day we hang in groups of just a person or two, maybe more. Even if so, we all love our friend s . This year, we had friends move and made new ones as the year passed by. At Goodrich, friends are the best! We ' get off task every once in a while, but in the end, it's ' all in good fun. Without friends life would be miserable and dreadful. Friends are there to make life more vibrant and to add the spice we are missing. Friends make life colorful and flourish with laughter. Friends are the most important people we have in the outside world without the family. Friends are there when you need them most, and they keep you in check so you don't loose your sanity. But some people are already dreaming. They have dreams of being a doctor, or a movie star, a fireman , or a pro athlete. All of us are different and will always be, but for now , we ' re just kids.
