Everett Organizations
The Student Council, sponsored by Mr. Jim Barstow, opened the school year by putting a pencil machine in the office. The blue pencils with gold lettering read "Everett Eagles" on the side.
They had several dances with one of them including a live band.
The Student Council was also very busy with the beautification project after receiving a gift of six maple trees.
Red Cross elected officers at the beginning of the school year. Cheryl Tivis was elected President; Darnell Bringman, Vice President; Trudy Ruthsatz, Secretary; and Rick Welchoff, Treasurer.
This year's first money-raising project was a trike race. Cindy Life scooted past Mrs. French to win the race.
Other projects were bake sales, giving two gifts for teenagers through Operation Santa Claus, and filling a Thanksgiving basket.
Red Cross is sponsored by Mrs. Fran Chaffee.
Drill Team, sponsored by Mrs. Kathy French, has performed at many Everett musicals, other Lincoln schools, and has put on shows for parents and faculty.

PRO~SC'G
Everett has been getting a new look this year because of the school beautification project. On October 27, six red maple trees were planted in front of the school. The trees, donated to Everett by the city, were planted by the students with help from Mayor Helen Boosalis, Senator Steve Fowler, and many interested parents.
In Dec ember, slabs were poured for benches that will be put on the south side of the school. The benches, poured by the 9th grade Worlds of Manufacturing class, will be fastened to the slabs. There are twelves benches and they will be two feet wide by five feet long.
Digging holes for the new trees are: Kenny Hopper, Joey Quattrocchi, and Susan Lococo.

The Multi-Cultural calendar here at Everett , which was started by Mrs. Robertson, has been ver y successful. It contains most of the nationalities here at Everett. The Spanish class is part of this and there is a lw a ys something going on in the class. An example of this is a play that they put on entitled "Poncho Villa". The play was about his fight for human dignity. After the play, there were a few girls that presented a Mexican dance to their audience. The play and dance are just a few of the things that the Spanish class and other groups here at Everett have done .
The students at Everett are fortunate to be able to experience the many different cultures here at Everett.
Representing some of the different nationalities here in our school are, left to right: Linda Mah, Rose Cardenas, Susan Lococo, Dann y Brown, Marcella Maly, and Florine Vance.
