7th Grade
The 2012-2013 school year is very comfortable for the seventh graders this year. Last year they have experienced all of the orries about Middle School and so far they have fit in and explored new adventures hroughout their sixth grade year.
But this year is completely different. All the seventh graders have new friends and new classes and new teachers. They have now gotten used to using lockers, changing classes ,and everything else that Dawes Middle School brought to them.
I Interviewed some 7th graders and an· the irst question that i asked them was what was our first impression of 7th grade? and here are some answers that I got from a couple of hem Olena Yarmolyuk said "Its very fun!"
Mckenzie Frank 11 Way better than last ear,because I have friends now" Carson said"Not that different" and Kyle 11 Same as las ear 11
My second question for these same people as Do you enjoy 7th grade and Why? Olena armolyuk said II Yes, there is a lot of friends here 11 "Yes, I've made a lot of new friends that i didn't hang out with last year" Mckenzie Frank tells us. Carson explains to us that 11 Yes, because they are not the youngest in he school anymore."Kyle tells us"Yes, its not hat hard 11
My third question was Are you excited for eighth grade? And some of these answers ere very interesting. Olena says 11 A little" Mckenzie Frank 11 Yeah 11 Carson 11 No" and Kyle ells us 11 Sure 11
I asked them What are some of their favorite classes. Here are some answers "Math-Prelgebra, Phisical Education 11 Olena Yarmolyuk states Mckenzie Frank "Orchestra" Kyle likes 11 Social studies with Mr. Shike 11 And Carson likes Ms.V's language arts class. Some things they enjoy about 7th grade this ear are ..... Olena "Can talk to our friends alot 11 Mckenzie Frank "Classes are shorter this ear"Carson "Orchestra -actually being a s class"K le 11 Good Classes"
And last but not least our Seventh graders have some really nice goals they want to accomplish here are some of them. Olenka armolyuk 11 1Want to go to Junior Tennis and compete in Cornhusker state games (in ennis) USDA Junior Championship 11 Mckenzie Frank says" Passing 7th grade 11 Carson states "Making it through 7th grade" And Kyle also wants to pass the 7th grade. So iri order to reach and achieve all those goals The Seventh Grade Has To Work Hard. If you work hard you will achieve and be the best.,G Seventh Grade!

The Dawes Track and Field team have worked, and trained hard this past quarter with the 7th and 8th grade boys and girls they ran a lot. The stuff the student have done during 1st quarter was amazing. They practiced on the weekdays, and had there met on the weekend, I would not be able to run on the weekend i would be too tired to get at 7:00 and run a few miles at 8 or 9 o'clock in the morning. But the Dawes middle school Track and field team had a rough but fun quarter,competition is always hard.

student _ council plan all the events here at Dawes they plan the dance, pirit week etc. but have you wondered how they do it? I talked with Karlie.S who is in student council and how they plan things "we start by aking a list of the events we want. Then the president and vice president go through and chose which ones they like. "When i was done asking Karlie the questions I had,/ went to one of the meetings and took a few pict res and of the dance w. n hey were setting it up and a lot of others. They plan a lot here at Dawes the events that go on are all thanks to the st dent council.

Laura has been a eammate for 2 ears and they both have been together or about 1 ear.They enjoy being together.Some activities that they enjoy are Uno, do homework, games, and talk.
