Although these people didn't stay at Dawets for the entire year, each one of them has left behind friends and memories. These people have made Dawes a better school in their own special way.

Despite only having 10 players out for basketball. the 8th grade girls hod a good season with a 4-6 record. Coaches Miss Stuhr and Mrs Reed think that only having 10 girls was a big factor. They had to ploy 2 games while other schools only had to play their girls one game .
The seventh grade boys basketball team was coached by Mr Noel. Their record was 0-10; however, they worked hard and learned the basics of the game
Coached by Mr Heath, the Eighth grade team had a good attitude and played hard during games Their record was 2-8, but they played most teams close and played as hard as they could Over the course of the year they showed improvement in shooting , defense , and attitude . Tom Kissenger and Chris Siebe demonstrated good team leadership skills

After dozens of suicides and other warm-ups, the volleyball and cross country teams were finally able to compete in their f i rst games Together they became powerful leaders and good sports The good of a team isn't always in the record book, but in the souls
of the players These future athletes will undoubtedly be remembered as aggressive, well trained students, and strong leaders in tomorrow's society!
Hand in hand they will keep movi~g up saying to themselves, "I've Got The Power!"

Lessons for the fifth graders this year mainly centered on patriotism and the importance of good citizenship . The students made lots of art using the colors red, white and blue. They also say that Mrs. Fabry has been a "fob" teacher. Perhaps we could call them "The Star Spangled Students " .

Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho-It's home from school we go! Our work is done. We've had some fun. Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho the kindergarten class combines learning, singing, and dancing together as they learn the things to prepare them for for the first grade. Such as their ABC's by singing the alphabet and how to count by dancing and singing to "Circle around your zero."
When do we get to learn the hard stuff like ten through twenty and x, y, and z?
School is to easy we can't wait till it gets hard and we have to add, and subtract numbers not just sing them "

Ghoul day was a time of blackness . During this time the world has become very strange. When you're strange faces come out in the rain .
When in Elementary "Elementary is fun!" we usually say "I can't wait until I'm older!" Well what they don't tell people is how great being in Elementary really is.
They hit Ghoul Day with a parade across the famous Dawes Stage. Some have also went to S. A. C. Museum.
They have made monster faces, learned new things, sung new songs, but now it's time to move up to the next grade
Still you can always say "Elementary is fun!"
This game is really fun everybody should try it.
Boy do I like her she's really cute!
Let ' s Read!!!!
I'm not understanding what we are supposed to do here
Elementary Days
Aren ' t you two a little too old for that kind of stuff!/ left
Hard at work for once!/ Right
Three ' s not a crowd when you ' re these three friends , who look very becom ing m ight I add !. !
