On September 16, 2023, history was made as Chorlton hosted its very first Pride event, a vibrant celebration that resonated not only with the LGBTQ+ community in Chorlton but also reached out to embrace all members of the community, emphasizing the importance of LGBTQ+ visibility in this charming town.

The heart of the festivities unfolded at St Clements Church in Chorlton, from noon until 5 pm, where a delightful array of special events and activities filled the air with love and acceptance. However, the celebration extended far beyond the church’s walls, with a host of events and activities scattered throughout Chorlton, continuing well into the evening. This inclusive gathering welcomed families and individuals of all backgrounds, promising a day of familyfriendly fun, delectable food, refreshing drinks, the presence of charitable organizations, essential local services, and unforgettable entertainment. It truly lived up to the promise of being “fab-u-lous” in every sense!
