I truly enjoyed our day trip to Tai ; it brought back so many memories of my childhood and has made me long for an idyllic life near the sea, teaching me the value of small things and a simple living. Dear Mrs Ruth Lau, Hope you are doing well. I’m extending this message to share my deep appreciation after having the opportunity of going to Tai O this week with my fellow classmates. I’m happy to have returned to LPC that day with the feeling of accountability and nostalgia that I had gotten after seeing another side of Hong Kong that I would’ve not been able to look out by myself. I was able to learn more about the different legacies and traditions that where pass down to the new generations of the village. And, how, the government with the help of some NGOs keep traces of the past by revitalising an ancient building and sharing his stories to those that are willing to listen. I also appreciated to see how they worked together to primarily help the elderly in the village and the youngster that stayed to move around more easily and find more jobs in the village. I hope I will be able to, like you, help others to discover the same thinks as I did and make them appreciate the culture that was passed to me by my ancestors and their stories. Dear Ruth, Thanks for recognising us and provide with us opportunity to know and experience new things in Hong Kong mainly during our holidays. Tai o was amazing , and I had good time there and good experience, the food was also amazing ,I got a chance to see and that was quite an adventure to me .
