Leslie Odom, Jr. is a multifaceted Tony and Grammy Award–winning, three-time Emmy, and two-time Academy Award–nominated vocalist, songwriter, actor, and New York Times bestselling author.
With a career that spans all performance genres, Odom has received recognition for his excellence and achievements in Broadway, television, film, and music. Most recently, Odom made his long-awaited return to Broadway, starring in and co-producing the new production of Ossie Davis’s Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch, which opened in September 2023 to widespread critical acclaim. Odom also appeared in the highly anticipated sequel to The Exorcist and Rian Johnson’s 2022 film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which is currently streaming on Netflix. In 2020, he starred as legendary singer Sam Cooke in the award-winning Amazon film adaptation of One Night in Miami…, directed by Regina King. His critically acclaimed portrayal of the soul icon and musical performance of the original song “Speak Now” earned him multiple awards and nominations. He also starred in The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel to David Chase’s award-winning HBO series The Sopranos, released in October 2021.
Well known for his breakout role as Aaron Burr in the smash hit Broadway musical Hamilton, Odom hosted The Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back! on CBS in September 2021 (2022 Emmy nomination). Additional film and television credits include Apple TV+’s Central Park (2020 Emmy nomination), Hamilton on Disney+ (2021 Emmy nomination), Abbott Elementary, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Love in the Time of Corona, Harriet, and many more.
Co-written with Nicolette Robinson, Odom’s first children’s book, I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know, was published by Feiwel & Friends in March 2023. The book debuted on The New York Times bestseller list at No. 7 in its first week. Odom is a BMG recording artist and has released five full-length albums. Released in November 2023, Odom’s fifth full-length album and his first of all-new music since 2019, When a Crooner Dies, features a collection of 10 newly penned, original tracks that mark his most personal body of music to date.

A visionary conductor, curator, and producer, Edwin Outwater regularly works with the world’s top orchestras, institutions, and artists to reinvent the concert experience. His effortless ability to cross genres has led to collaborations with a wide range of artists, ranging from Stewart Copeland to Wynton Marsalis, Renée Fleming, and Yo-Yo Ma .
Outwater is music director of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, overseeing their ensembles and shaping the artistic initiatives of this dynamic institution. He is also music director laureate of the KitchenerWaterloo Symphony, which he led from 2007–17.
Recent appearances include performances with The Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, San Diego Symphony, and The Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra, Malmö Symfoniorkester, and National Arts Centre Orchestra.
In addition, Outwater holds a long association with the San Francisco Symphony. Recent seasons have included subscription appearances with the orchestra, performances with Seth McFarlane, and presentations of Holiday Gaiety, an LGBTQ+ holiday concert he created with drag performer Peaches Christ. Previously, Outwater was the San Francisco Symphony’s resident conductor, director of summer concerts, and music director of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Outwater has also been featured in several prominent recordings. He conducted the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in their Grammy-winning Sony Classical release of Mason Bates’s Philharmonia Fantastique. He was also associate conductor for A Gathering of Friends, with John Williams, Yo-Yo Ma, and the New York Philharmonic. He features prominently in Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett’s solo debut EP, Portals, as co-songwriter, arranger, orchestrator, and keyboardist.
A native of Santa Monica, California, Outwater studied English literature at Harvard University and received his degree in conducting from UC Santa Barbara, where he studied with Heiichiro Ohyama and Paul Polivnick.

This roster lists full-time members of The Cleveland Orchestra. The number and seating of musicians onstage varies depending on the piece being performed. Seating within the string sections rotates on a periodic basis.
Now in its second century, The Cleveland Orchestra, under the leadership of Music Director Franz Welser-Möst since 2002, is one of the most sought-after performing ensembles in the world. Year after year, the ensemble exemplifies extraordinary artistic excellence, creative programming, and community engagement. The New York Times has called Cleveland “the best in America” for its virtuosity, elegance of sound, variety of color, and chamber-like musical cohesion.
Founded by Adella Prentiss Hughes, the Orchestra performed its inaugural concert in December 1918. By the middle of the century, decades of growth and sustained support had turned it into one of the most admired globally.
The past decade has seen an increasing number of young people attending concerts, bringing fresh attention to The Cleveland Orchestra’s legendary sound and committed programming. More recently, the Orchestra launched several bold digital projects, including the streaming platform Adella, the podcast On a Personal Note, and its own recording label, a new chapter in the Orchestra’s long and distinguished recording and broadcast history. Together, they have captured the Orchestra’s unique artistry and the musical achievements of the Welser-Möst and Cleveland Orchestra partnership.
The 2024–25 season marks Franz Welser-Möst’s 23rd year as music director, a period in which The Cleveland Orchestra earned unprecedented acclaim around the world, including a series of residencies at the Musikverein in Vienna, the first of its kind by an American orchestra, and a number of acclaimed opera presentations.
Since 1918, seven music directors — Nikolai Sokoloff, Artur Rodziński, Erich Leinsdorf, George Szell, Lorin Maazel, Christoph von Dohnányi, and Franz Welser-Möst — have guided and shaped the ensemble’s growth and sound. Through concerts at home and on tour, broadcasts, and a catalog of acclaimed recordings, The Cleveland Orchestra is heard today by a growing group of fans around the world.

Guests with Pavilion seats who arrive after the start of the concert may be asked to wait outside the Pavilion until the first convenient pause in the music, after which our ushers will help you to your seats.
LAWN SEATING
Guests on the Lawn may bring their own chairs, but guests with high-backed chairs that obstruct others’ views may be asked to relocate to the rear of the Lawn. Rental chairs are available for a fee of $10 per evening. Tents, flags, balloons, or other structures that might obstruct views or present a hazard are prohibited. Open flames are also prohibited.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY & RECORDING
Audio recording, photography, and videography are prohibited during performances at Blossom. Photographs and videos can only be taken when the performance is not in progress. As a courtesy to others, please silence all electronic devices prior to the start of the concert.
SMOKING
All Blossom Music Festival events are presented in a smoke-free environment. Smoking or
vaping are not allowed anywhere on the grounds or in buildings once you have entered through the ticket gates. A smoking area is available outside the gates in a designated area of Parking Lot A.
