Our Honors Program is a mission-driven educational experience open to a cohort of qualifying academically-gifted young men with an expressed interest and desire in liberated thinking and daring leadership. Students enrolled in this program will consistently be challenged to take their education to new frontiers.

Murray Learning Services Murray Learning is a fee-for-service program that supports bright, motivated students with documented learning differences. The goal of the program is to provide students with the tools necessary to succeed at the university level. Individual learning plans enable students to understand their learning differences, recognizing and utilizing their strengths as they work to improve in areas of weakness.

Our athletics program is an indispensable part of our mission to educate the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Our coaching staff stresses competing with character. That means keeping one’s humanity, grace, and perspective no matter the outcome of an individual or team competition.

Retreats at every grade level provide opportunities for students to grow in their faith and form lasting bonds of brotherhood. Together, they become aware of God’s presence in their lives, discover the importance of community, and share experiences that create empathy and understanding.

Our student-athletes receive scholarships to play at some of the most competitive Division I, II, and III colleges and universities in the nation.

Service work is where spiritual growth and being a man for others takes concrete form. Our Ignatian Service Program makes the concepts of love for the human family and commitment to social justice vivid and relevant. More than just an added requirement for graduation, global and local Ignatian service is an integral part of a Jesuit education and courses through the heart and soul of our curricula.

We strive to make a Catholic education accessible and affordable by offering a variety of merit and need-based grants and awards. Our goal is to ensure that we partner with families in making their son’s dream of a Loyola education a reality.

THERE ARE THREE PRIMARY CATEGORIES OF GRANTS Need-Based Grants Our mission is to extend the opportunity to attend Loyola to students across the entire region. Financial aid grants are awarded to families with demonstrated financial need as determined through an application process via FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.

Academic Merit Scholarships We provide multiple levels of scholarship grants to students who display outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and involvement in co-curricular activities. Recipients are identified during the admissions process.

Athletics & Co-Curricular Scholarships Program directors, activity moderators, and coaches partner with our Admissions team to identify candidates for awards in a variety of areas, including speech and debate, interscholastic athletics, and the arts.

IGNATIAN HONORS PROGRAM Merit Awards are given to Loyola’s top admissions candidates for their academic achievements and their anticipated success in our honors program. Further, the scholarships serve as recognition of those who will be leaders among their class and within the Loyola community.

MAGIS AWARDS To recognize admissions candidates who distinguish themselves through active participation in co-curricular activities, dedication to academic pursuits, and a commitment to serving others, we award Magis scholarships to boys entering grades 6 and 9 that recognize their ability to go above and beyond.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MILITARY + FIRST RESPONDERS To honor their service and sacrifice, scholarships are available to sons of active duty military, police officers, and career firefighter/EMTs. $5,000 scholarship awards are made to incoming 9th graders for each of his four years at Loyola.

ARCHDIOCESE TEACHER SCHOLARSHIPS We are pleased to offer scholarships to sons of full-time teachers employed by an Archdiocese of Baltimore elementary/middle school.

The scholarship award is offered to incoming 9th grade students only and is applied to each of his four years at Loyola. The amount of the scholarship award is $5,000 annually.

MISSION Loyola Blakefield, a Catholic, college preparatory school, established by the Jesuits and imbued with the spirit of Ignatius Loyola, forms men to serve with and for others.
