PAOLO TIONGSON ‘17
Paolo Tiongson graduated from Loyola Academy in 2017. He was an O’Shaughnessy Scholar and a four-year letter winner for the Boys' Cross Country and Track & Field teams, serving as captain for both during his senior year. He left his footprint by qualifying for State in 2013, 2014, and 2016, and was a four-time conference champion as a Rambler. During his senior campaign, he earned all-state accolades in cross country with a 14th-place finish.
He continued competing as a member of the Marquette University Track & Field team while earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in Marketing in 2021. Paolo currently lives in Chicago and works as an Account Executive at Firm360, a project management company designed for accountants.
In looking back on his Loyola Academy experience, Paolo spoke highly about his time both on and off the track. Paolo recognized that it was an economics class at Loyola that led to his interest in studying business at Marquette, which steered him on his current career path.
Outside of school and work, Paolo’s passion for running has driven him as a leader in the Chicago community. Paolo has volunteered as an assistant cross country and track coach at a Chicago high school. He also coached for Chicago Youth United Performance (CYUP), a winter training program designed to get Chicagoland high school athletes in shape for the track and field season.
Paolo is a first-gen student who is very grateful for the opportunity to attend Loyola because of the school’s Tuition Assistance Program. His one piece of advice to Rambler students is to make the most out of their experience and to prioritize balance–you’re only a Rambler student once!
