Growing Together

Discover Connection Through Small Groups

There’s something powerful about walking through life with others. At LPPC, we’ve seen that faith doesn’t grow in isolation it flourishes in community. Small groups create space to dig into Scripture, ask honest questions, and build friendships that go beyond Sunday mornings. As we begin the new year, we’re launching a three-week sermon series titled, “Growing Together.” This series will explore the importance of community and the vital role small groups play in our spiritual growth and connection. We’ll conclude with a Small Group Fair on Sunday, January 25, in Williams Hall after worship, where you can meet leaders, explore opportunities, and find your place to belong.

Ready to Take the Next Step Now?

Don’t worry, getting connected is simple. Click here to browse through the small group options on our website and see what resonates with you. Maybe it's a group with others in a similar phase of life, focuses on a topic you're curious about, or just has a meeting time that works with your schedule. Once you find one that feels like a good fit, reach out to the contact person listed they're looking forward to welcoming you.

Don't See What You're Looking For?

Sometimes the absence of something is actually an invitation. If you're not finding a group that matches what's stirring in your heart, God might be calling you to start one. That passion or vision He's placed on your heart could be exactly what others in our church community are looking for too. And here's the good news: you won't be navigating this alone. Pastor Cara is ready to help you discern next steps, connect you with resources, and support you as you launch something new. This season, let's grow together.

Fall at LPPC

LPPC’s October Senior Fellowship brought seniors together for a delightful potluck meal, uplifting songs, fun games, and an inspiring reflection from Nancy Care. Then, in November, Nancy led a time of music and reflection at historic Old Norriton Church. This service included an invitation to consider how the light and living water of Jesus dwells

within and among us - even in our fragility

Columbarium Dedication

On a beautiful sunny afternoon in September, LPPC held a dedication service for the new Columbarium. Pastor Ted led a time of reflection and gratitude for the volunteers and donors who helped bring the project to life, and offered prayers that all who visit would sense God’s comforting presence as they remember their loved ones.

A Reflection of Thanks on the Ladies’

Candlelight

Tea from Vicki Rahmer and Lori Cook

Thank you to everyone who made this year's LPPC Ladies Tea and Fashion Show Fundraiser possible for the approximately 180 ladies in attendance. The Tea is an important outreach mission to all the women in our community. We are so grateful to Elva Hurst for blessing us with her amazing gift of chalk art. To Renee Girifalco Independent Cabi Home Show Stylist and Cabi from the Philadelphia Premium Outlets for providing the beautiful fashions. FYI, the winner of the Capital Grille gift basket was Joan Oister. Please show your appreciation by patronizing all our local sponsors: Aqua Bistro, Cabi Home Stylist Renee Girifalco, Capital Grille, Chick fil-A of Audubon, MaGerks of Royersford, and The Cage of Audubon. This year's charity of choice was the Norristown Hospitality Center which is a low-barrier day shelter that provides basic needs and social services to those experiencing homelessness or poverty (hospitalitycenter.org). Through your generosity, we were able to present them a check for $4,500 to help support this very important local organization.

Retreat, Reflect, Refresh!

Breakaway Retreat Recap

This past September, our middle schoolers joined students from all over for the Breakaway Retreat, hosted by InFaith, at NorthBay Adventure Camp! The weekend was packed with excitement from ziplining by the bay and canoeing with friends to late-night games and powerful worship sessions that helped students grow closer to God and one another. It was a weekend full of laughter, adventure, and the Holy Spirit at work — one we won’t forget anytime soon!

Upcoming High School Retreat

Also... We have an exciting high school retreat coming up at the end of January at Lake Champion, New York! This incredible retreat center offers tons of fun activities, plus a whole weekend filled with the Holy Spirit moving through everyone creating an atmosphere of belonging, joy, and growth.

Don’t miss out! Sign up and join us for this road trip that could become a powerful and unforgettable experience!

A weekend at the Philadelphia Project blends service, worship and fun in such a unique way! Recently a group of 4 and 5 graders spent the weekend in Germantown, and it was a blessing to see how hard they worked. On Saturday th th students painted walls, ceilings and trim (oh my!) in two different homes. The kids were excited about learning new skills and really enjoyed meeting the homeowners. Back at the dorms, there was time to hang out with friends, worship, and play games.

Are you starting to feel like you’re missing out? We have a solution for that - The All Church Retreat on February 13-15 at Black Rock Retreat Center!

LPPC’s Preschool Celebrates 65 Years of Ministry

On November 6, the Lower Providence Presbyterian Church Preschool threw open its doors for an Open House celebrating 65 years of nurturing young minds and hearts in our community. The milestone event brought together current and former families, staff members, and friends of the preschool for aneveningofnostalgia, laughter, andgratitude.

WilliamsHallwasfilledwithhappyreunionsasformerstudents reconnected with the educators who had shaped their earliest school experiences. Teachers couldn't believe how much their former students had grown, and the now-older children were thrilledtoseethefamiliarfacesoftheirpreschooldays.

One of the highlights of the celebration was a display of class photographs spanning the preschool's 65-year history. Parents and children crowded around the photos, searching for familiar faces from years past. The joy was palpable when parents discovered their own preschool pictures and proudly pointed themouttotheirchildren.

The event also showcased the strong community support that has sustained the preschool throughout the decades. Local businesses and community members generously donated items and services for raffle baskets, demonstrating the vital rolethepreschoolplaysinourwiderneighborhood.

As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we give thanks for 65 years of faithful ministry to children and families, and we look forward to many more years of serving our community through quality early childhood education rooted in God's love.

Packed with Love: Deacons Encourage LPPC College Students

Each fall, the Deacons pack and send goodie boxes to our college students prior to their first semester finals. Contents include snacks, cookies, candy, hot chocolate and other assorted items as well as a personalized note to our students to let them know we are praying for them during this oftentimes stressful period. This year the Deacons distributed 15 boxes to our students with the furthest going to Louisiana. Please keep our students in your prayers as they face the challenges of finals in the coming weeks.
