*Postlude The Prayer Team is available to meet and pray with you in the front of the Sanctuary after each worship service. Today’s prayer leaders are Elder Laura Hewitt and Deacon Evelyn Lare. ***The lectern arrangement last Sunday given was in loving memory of my grandparents Edgar & Mary Beyer, my parents Charles & Bernice Dyer and my Aunt Mary Bergey, by Commander Charles White & Janice Dyer White.
Visiting Today? Welcome! We'd love to meet you! Stop by the welcome desk in the atrium for a gift and more information about our church. SUNDAY MORNING GROWING OPPORTUNITIES Nursery Care is available during the worship service for children 3 years old and younger. Children’s Church is available for kids age 4 through third grade. The LPPC Weekly for August 16, 2026 This Week’s 3 Things to Know Tai Chi for Falls Prevention
Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention utilizes the Sun Style for relaxation, balance, and ease of movement. Each class is led by a certified instructor. The movements can be done sitting or standing. Classes will take place on Mondays from 11:45-12:45, September 14-November 9. Space is limited and registration is required. Sign up through the link in your weekly email or by contacting Nancy Care.
Tuesday Sandwich Making
Every Tuesday morning in August we prepare 350 sandwiches for Norristown’s homeless or food-insecure population. This allows the regular volunteers at the Bean Soup Kitchen to take a break from making the sandwiches for the bagged lunches. Sign up to help on the easel in the atrium or through the link in your weekly email. Thank you for supporting the Cecil and Grace Bean Soup Kitchen, one of LPPC’s Mission Partners.
Forteniter’s Picnic
LPPC will be serving dinner for the Forteniter’s Club on August 20th at 3:00pm. The Forteniter’s Club provides support and community to adults with mental illness. If you have signed up to provide food for this event please drop it off by 1:00pm on August 20 (or bring it with you if you are volunteering for the event). Contact Vicki Rahmer (vrahmer2@gmail.com) or Lori Cook (lacookdesign@gmail.com) with questions.

Adopt a Tree for the Cemetery - This spring, Session approved the purchase of 15 evergreen trees (White Pine & Norway Spruce) to be planted along the cemetery boundary beside the Maintain-ItAll property line. We invite you to prayerfully consider contributing to this effort. The average cost is $200 per tree, though any amount is welcome. Make checks payable to Lower Providence Presbyterian Church (Attn: Jim Kardos) with "Adopt a Tree" in the memo line or use the link in your weekly email. Hearing Devices- Hearing amplification devices are available in the Narthex. Ask an usher if you need assistance.
