August Chapel & Garden Dedication “Lifelong Learning”
On the last school day of each month, students PreK-12, parents, faculty, and staff congregate together to learn celebrate our monthly anchor. Starting this year, monthly chapels will be held in the Presbyterian Church by LPS and are hosted by Mr. Tony Starlight and our Chapel Leadership Club. This August, our guest speaker was Lowcountry Prep’s founder: Lawly Ford. Her speech was centered around our August Anchor Word: Lifelong Learning. She spoke about being a lifelong learner while doing God’s work taught students to follow their visions, even ones that seem irrational, because with God’s help anything is possible. Our students say it was enriching and pure to hear the history of the school and astonishing to see how far Lowcountry Prep has come in the last 30 years. Following her speech and devotion, she was guided to LPS’s new garden by the Lower School students, who was formally dedicated the garden to her.
Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our school, Mrs. Lawly.
