THE PRINCESS AND THE MOON The LHS theatre department Acting and Technical theatre classes are excited to present a performance of The Princess and The Moon on Saturday, October 15th at 3pm in the LHS Auditorium. All ages are welcome to enjoy this fairytale of a show. Free Admission. Princess Lizzy wants to be a knight. Bored with the usual duties of a princess, she dreams of fighting in tournaments, slaying dragons, and doing all the things that good knights do. For what Princess Lizzy desires above all else is to be special – one-of-a-kind, absolutely unique! And so on her sixteenth birthday she becomes a knight ... and is crushed to learn that she is not the first, but actually the ninety-sixth. Still determined to be special, Lizzy resolves for her quest to do the impossible: to go to the moon. She soon finds the magical Medallion of the Moon and thinks herself well on her way, but when she fires the storyteller in a fit of anger, he steals the medallion, becomes an all-powerful wizard, and takes over Lizzy’s kingdom as the new villain! What begins as an ordinary fairy tale takes Lizzy on a journey filled with danger and sacrifice where there is no promise of a “happily ever after.”

Join us as we light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. presented by Willow Springs Middle School! Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy! The show offers classic and beloved songs such as “The Candy Man”, “The Oompa Loompa Song”, and “Pure Imagination.” From dancing Oompa Loompas, to swimming down a chocolate river, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. Chocolate Factory is a fun-loving musical for the entire family. It features a range of lovable characters to express the important message that nothing is truly impossible. This “scrumdiddlyumptious” musical is guaranteed to delight everyone's imagination! Come on this captivating adventure with us on October 27- 29, 2022 at 7 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
