In the spring of 2022, approximately 60 educators, students, and parents came together to chart a course for the future of our District as part of our LOVEJOY 2030 Strategic Planning Process. When we developed our LOVEJOY 2030 Strategic Plan we committed to coming back together every two years to assess our progress as well as make any necessary updates. On Monday, April 29th Lovejoy ISD parents and educators came together for our LOVEJOY 2030 Strategic Planning 2 Year Update. Together, we celebrated progress, identified new opportunities, and discussed ideas for future focus.Aspecialthankyoutotheeducatorsandparentsthatinvestedtheirtimein this process. The high level of stakeholder engagement in our District is a valued partofourformulaforsuccess.

Puster Elementary School kindergarten students enjoyed Splash Day today. The FairviewFireDepartmentbroughtafiretrucktospraydownthestudents.Judging fromthesquealsofjoyandexcitementthisspecialspringeventwasaresounding success.Thepicturesaresuretomakeyousmile.

OurTrackandFieldStateQualifiersarecompetinginthe5AStateTrackandField MeetattheUniversityofTexasatAustintoday.Thismorning,SaraMorefieldearned asilvermedalinthe3200meterandCamrynBensonearned3rdinthesamerace.It was so much fun to cheer on Sara and Camryn along with a big crew of Lovejoy fans. The remaining races began at 5:00 p.m. this evening. We are exceptionally proudofour10studentathletesthatearnedtheirwaytotheStateMeetandwish themsuccess.Runfast,Leopards!

Our Leopards have a busy Friday night. The community is invited to attend the Lovejoy High School Choir Pop Show tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Lovejoy High School Auditorium. Lovejoy High School Softball plays Lufkin High School tonight intheAreaPlayoffat7:00p.m.atAthensHighSchool.Alsothisevening,at7:00p.m.

Lovejoy Baseball competes in a playoff game on our home field against Red Oak HighSchool.Gogetthem,Leopards!

The Lovejoy Robotics Team had a strong showing at the Vex Robotics World Championships last weekend. I loved the opportunity to see them compete and witness their teamwork, tenacity, and ability to embrace the iterative nature of engineering. Congratulations on a great season, Lovejoy Robotics! Lovejoy High School is the proud home of the District Team Champions for both Boys and Girls Tennis.TheLovejoyLeopardTennisTeamexcelledintheTennisDistrictTournament with9qualifiersproceedingtotheUILRegionalTennisMeetonMay9-10.Waytogo, LovejoyTennis!

One of their opponents was the Skills Champ of the entire VEX Worlds, so it was fierce competition to say the least. 1082R endedranked31stoutof82teamswitha6-4recordandtheywereranked50thoutof 362 teams in the Skills Challenge with an overall score of 333 (173 Driver + 160 Programming) - We are #LovejoyProud of their incredible season and all that they accomplished!

Upper level engineering students attended KONE in Allen, TX recently on a field trip andstudentswereabletoseemanufacturingupcloseinperson.Itwasanincredible experience and we're so thankful for the opportunity to tour a great facility where elevators are made.
