SOME PEOPLE SEE THESE PHOTOS AS VANDALISM BUT USING MY PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS I TOOK PHOTOS OF THESE INDIVIDUAL PIECES OF ART THAT HAVE DEEPER HIDDEN MEANINGS/MESSAGES BEHIND THEM. THESE SHOW THAT STREET ART ISN’T ACTUALLY JUST VANDALISM BUT IT'S ALSO A WAY OF COMMUNICATING BETWEEN COMMUNITIES
IN SCHOOL MY PROJECT FOR ART IN DESIGN IS TO DESIGN A CHAIR OF MY CHOICE. I CHOOSE TO MAKE A FUNGUS INSPIRED CHAIR DUE TO THE MANY UNUSUAL TEXTURES AND COLOURS THAT FUNGUS COME IN. I HAVE MADE VARIOUS 3D MODELS IN CLASS WHICH WE CAN SEE BELOW AND A ROUGH SKETCH OF ONE OF MY IDEAS FOR THE FINAL PRODUCT.
I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING SIMPLE TO KEEP IT FROM BECOMING TOO MUCH. FLOWERS ALREADY HAVE SO MUCH MEANING AND THOUGHT A SIMPLE LINE DRAWING WILL BE MOST EFFECTIVE TO STILL SHOW THE BEAUTY OF THE FLOWERS WITHOUT OVER POWERING THE FLOWER ITSELF.
I used pencil tonal as it allows for a wide range of shades and depths in this piece of art I have created, from the lightest grays to the darkest blacks which I know that can enhance the realism and dimensionality of my artwork which improves my work overall.
I used hatching in this artwork by using less strokes when highlights appear to give this flower depth without over using pencil tonal giving it a different variety of styles in my artwork.
I DECIDED TO TAKE TWO OF THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS AND HAVE DONE TWO COMPLETED AND EDITED SHOOTS BEING LUST AND WRATH AS THEY ARE THE SINS THAT PEOPLE CONSIDER THE MAIN TWO SINS. I CHOSE TO DO THESE TWO DEADLY SINS AS I WANTED TO CREATE MY OWN PERCEPTION OF THE SINS AS THERE IS SO MANY OUT THERE AND WANTED TO PUT MY OWN TWIST ON IT.
I DECIDED TO BASE THESE PEICES OF FURNITURE ON NATURE. THE CHAIR I INSPIRED BY THE SMOOTHNESS AND THE STILL OCEAN AND WE CAN SEE THE BLUE COLOUR SAMPLES BESIDE THE CHAIR. THE BENCH AT THE BOTTOM IS INSPIRED BY LEAVES AND THE HOLES WHERE CATIPILLERS HAVE EATEN. MAKING THESE THE PERFECT FURNITURE FOR NATURE LOVERS OR THOSE JUST LOOKING FOR SLEEK AND FUN FURNITURE
I SKETCHED BOTH THESE DRAWIN AS I WANTED TO SHOW THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF LIGHTING AND HOW DIFFERENT THEY BOTH BUT BOTH HAVE THE SAME JOB BUT BOTH ARE DIFFERENT AND DIFFERENT STYLES.HOWEVER THEY COULD MAKE SUCH AN AMAZING IMPACT TO THE CORRECT SPACE
I CHOSE TO DO THIS SHOOT TO SHOW THE REALITY OF WHAT ISOLATION LOOKS LIKE. HOW A COMFORT SPACE IS HAS NOW BEEN AFFECTED AND IMPACTED DUE TO THE GRIEF AND ISOLATION SUCH AS THE LACK OF CLEANLINESS AND THE MESS THAT IS TOO HARD TO CLEAN AND THE LONELINESS. IN THIS SHOOT I WANTED TO SHOW THE REALITY
