ECO Design

Eco Design is an EU directive that aims to promote energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions in our environment. The initiative stipulates the overall requirements and framework for energy-consuming products, including wood-burning stoves. The requirements come into force per 1st January 2022 and will be introduced in EU and EEA countries. This means that stoves that are not approved as “Eco Design” cannot be sold in the European markets.

Here at Lotus, we have full responsibility for ensuring that our products comply with the requirements of Eco Design 2022. Our stoves are tested using reliable and accurate methods, using only recognized techniques. That is why we are proud to say that our products already meet the strictest standards, which means that our well-developed stoves are already ahead of EU standards for emission measurements and particulate emissions.
