The Ranch Report
March 2025 Newsletter
Spring Has Arrived... so have the bears.
Spring is finally here at the ranch! As the snow begins to melt and the landscape awakens, we’re gearing up for another unforgettable season in the heart of GTNP
March 19 marked the first confirmed bear sighting of the 2025 season in the park Typically, adult male grizzlies emerge from their dens in March, while females with cubs follow between April and early May Since Lost Creek Ranch is part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, we occasionally see bears traveling through the property. As a result, our staff is dedicated to providing bear-aware education, tips and complimentary bear spray for your visit at the ranch
Acknowledging we share this terrain with them, good bear etiquette includes: making noise on trails, securing food and garbage, and keeping a safe distance from wildlife
By working together and staying mindful of our surroundings, we can help protect both people and bears
We look forward to welcoming you back to the ranch and sharing another season of adventure and connection in this remarkable landscape.
Warmest regards,
Jasmin Stidham

A Treasure Hunt In Texas
This spring, two generations of ranch owners took a trip to Round Top, Texas, to attend the renowned Antique Week a treasure trove for those who appreciate the charm of vintage and historic pieces Known as one of the largest and most beloved antique fairs in the country, Round Top offers a unique opportunity to discover one-of-a-kind finds from all over the world
As you might recall, last Fall we updated all the guest cabins with new bathrooms, wood floors and carpet and hand-selected furnishings The trip to Round Top allowed us to curate antiques and artwork unique to each cabin Every piece was carefully selected to reflect the ranch’s heritage, maximize guest comforts and celebrate the spirit of the American West
It was an extra special experience to share one of my favorite places, in my home state, as we explored the bustling booths and met vendors from all of the world. With an install slated this spring, I can’t wait to share more updates along the way. Get ready to relax in our beautiful new guest accommodations!
