Whether you'd like to capture your family's vacation with a professional photography session, spend a day pursuing native trout on world-class waters, or unwind with a restorative spa treatment, our team is happy to assist in arranging these special offerings.

Services can be reserved prior to arrival to ensure availability, though appointments may also be scheduled during your stay.

Documentation of History From the archival 1920s photographs of Albert Schwabacher’s family to the contemporary portraits of the ownership family and our seasonal guests, photography at Lost Creek Ranch has never been just a pastime. It’s an act of documentation. The unmistakable silhouette of the Tetons remains unchanged, and the families that gather at their base are all here for the same reason.

Capturing a portrait during your stay with us serves as a visual anchor in time, a testament to belonging, connection, and shared experience within a monumental landscape. We invite you to honor this century-old tradition during your stay, preserving your family’s place in the enduring history of Lost Creek.

When Albert "Bill" Schwabacher purchased the property in 1927 to create an exclusive guest ranch, the primary draw wasn’t horseback riding—it was world-class fishing.

Our angling tradition starts at the iconic ‘Schwabachers Landing.’

In those early days, Bill chartered guests down to the flats of the Snake River. Traveling by early motor car across rugged wagon ruts, they hauled heavy canvas tents and prized split-cane rods straight to the water's edge. In that era, a day on the river meant bringing home a heavy harvest of legendary Snake River FineSpotted Cutthroat Trout to be fried over an open campfire.

While early creel limits and conservation standards were vastly different than today's catch-and-release practices, the thrill of the river remains unchanged. Nearly a century later, we invite you to fish the very same pristine waters that launched our legacy.
