These coaches are volunteers through Morgan County 4-H, and dedicate many hours to teaching the youth that are involved in Morgan County 4-H Shooting Sports. Awards will be announced on Facebook, Tuesday, July 21 at 6 pm. Equipment and supplies for the 4-H shooting sports program have been provided through a NRA grant given in 2020. Twenty-one youth 01 - Senior Goat Showmanship (14-18) competed in the contest on July 12, 2020. Placings in the senior division were Jeffrey Lancaster, 1st with a score of 44 out of a Gillian Steffen, Winning Edge 4-H Club, Wiggins, 1 Micah Goodman, Winning Edge 4-H Club, Wiggins, 2 Cael Langford, Bijou Go Getters 4-H Club, Fort Morgan, 3 possible 50. Americo Lorenzini placed 2nd; Dylan Martin, 3rd; Lilianna Ramos, 4th; Kealy Langford, Bijou Go Getters 4-H Club, Fort Morgan, 4 and Cohen Dixon, 5th. An air pistol shoot was also held in conjunction with the air rifle contest, junior winners were; 1) Talan Hall, 2) Chad Schilling, and 3) Rylan Schreiner. Senior air pistol champions were 1) Tyler Messinger, and 2) Jonathan Eggleston. 4-H Air Rifle coaches are: Karl Dahle, DJ Eicher, John Goodman, and Scott Schmidt. Owen Eggleston and John Goodman coach the air pistol shooters, and Karl Dahle is the overall superintendent.
