Dear Lost City Golf Club Members,

Enclosed in “The Member Book” (Owner’s Manual) is almost everything you need to know to have a great experience at the Lost City Golf Club. I and all of your staff members are here for you to ensure your expectations are met every time you come to your club. You are an owner of the Lost City Golf Club.

The concept of “ownership” is financial and psychological, with the psychological component perhaps being the most powerful. In most hospitality experiences purchases are made, consumed, and left once completed, but not so at the Lost City Golf Club. The Lost City Golf Club is about the unique relationships with other members, the staff, the golf course, and dining facilities which are most difficult to replace or find elsewhere.

Ownership thinking puts a premium on qualities that are considered “intangibles” such as tradition, loyalty, myth, and symbolism. These “intangibles” create a special bond between you the member and the Lost City Golf Club not found at a resort or local restaurant.

We encourage you to be active owners of your club. Attending holiday events, special member dinners, and major club functions will enhance your feeling as an owner of your club. This is your unique and very private and very special club experience. At the Lost City Golf Club, we have a loyal membership base. If you are a new member, welcome and enjoy being an owner and forming long lasting relationships with your fellow owners and staff.

SKINS

to MARCH

GROSS & NET SKINS 9 HOLES

Each Wednesday one of our three 9-hole courses will be designated as the Skins Course. Play anytime of day with at least one other player who is also participating in the skins and turn your card in when finished. Members from all groups and tee combinations are welcome to play by simply registering in the Golf Shop prior to teeing off.

WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION

TUESDAYS, NOVEMBER-MARCH FORMATS VARY 18 HOLES

Every Tuesday morning women come together to meet new members and play with friends. 9:00 a.m. Shotgun is the typical starting time. Sign up individually for whichever events you would like to play in and the golf staff will take care of the pairing for you. Online entry via USGA Tournament Management is available. It includes weekly, live scoring, and instant results emailed to all members at the completion of the event.

WOMEN’S MEMBER-GUEST DAY

February 28th

Featuring an 18-hole format, with a special theme for the day. Take this opportunity to show your friends what being a member of Lost City Golf Club is all about from great course conditions to camaraderie that can only be found here. Exquisite food and service will be on full display for you and your guest. A 12:30 pm shotgun starts with lunch prior to play and dinner and awards to follow.

WOMEN’S MAJORS

The women have three major tournaments in which to compete. The participants in these events epitomize what golf is all about; competitive and kind sportsmanship! These events are a great way to test your mental preparedness for the game of golf.

WOMEN’S 9 HOLE LEAGUE TUESDAYS, NOVEMBER-MARCH

FORMATS VARY – 9 HOLES

Every Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. With once per month parties and fun, inviting atmosphere, this group of ladies set the standards for enjoyment of our Club and friendship. If you are just beginning to play the game or appreciate the shorter round of golf, this is the perfect group for you.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

MARCH 11th 12th

36 Hole Stroke Play with 2 different 18hole formats will be used for this event. Partner up with your spouse or favorite golf partner for a 1:00 pm shotgun each day. Each team consists of one man and one woman for this Championship Event. The first 18-hole round will be Better Ball of Partners and the second 18-hole round will be a Pinehurst (Hit, Switch, Alternate) format. This event crowns both net and gross champions

Fridays Nov - March

4 Person Scramble

With a few exceptions, TGIF is held every Friday, November thru March.

2:45 pm & 3:15 pm Shotguns

Teams usually consist of two men and two women (max two men per team). You can either make your own group or ask the golf shop to find you partners.

TGIF is the highest attended weekly event at the Club. With it’s 9-hole scramble format, it is a great opportunity for players of all skill levels to mix up their partners and have a great afternoon. Dinner is available after golf.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times are available from 8:00 a.m. till 11:50am on Saturday and Sunday mornings. No tee times are required at any other time

• Starting times will be set at ten (10) minute intervals to promote social distancing and avoid congregation of players.

•

Reservations can be made no sooner than 8:00 a.m. two (2) days before the desired day of play. Please do not make requests before 8:00 a.m. they will not be considered when building out the approved starting times.

Example: We will start accepting emails for Saturday play at 8:00 a.m. Thursday (no sooner).

• Reservation requests can only be made for a foursome or fewer (no multi group pairings will be accepted in a single request) and should be made by one (1) designated person in the pairing group.

• Reservation requests can be made by EMAIL ONLY to lostcitygolftimes@gmail.com. This is the only way we can have time stamped and verifiable history, assuring consistency and equality.

Each morning, the following day’s reservations will be emailed out with the assigned times. Anyone wishing to fill in vacant times may still do so by emailing a request.

Example: Saturday’s reservations will be emailed out Friday at 8:00 a.m. We will continue to accept Saturday reservations throughout Friday to fill in any vacant times.

Pay your dues in Full by Nov. 1st and get 3 free guest passes

Pay your dues in 3 equal installments in October, November, and December

Pay your dues over 12 months. Those choosing this must either have an ACH or pay a $250 annual fee.

The Guest Passes for paying your dues in full, with one payment are for golfing members only and are kept in the computer in the golf shop. Just mention that you want to use a comped guest pass the next time you have a guest. Its your choice when to use them.

The traditional check for payment. You mail it to us or drop off in the payment box in front of the membership office at any time.

Additional tipping is permitted but not required

Suitable and proper attire is required both on the golf course and in the areas of the Clubhouse at all times. Shorts are considered appropriate attire for all members and their guests until 5:00 PM. After 5:00 PM, shorts will only be permitted on the golf course or in the bar area, patio and grill room. Shorts are not permitted in the dining room after 5:00 PM except for TGIF and other predetermined events. Shorts should not be over four inches above the knee. Tank tops or track shirts, bathing suits and blue jeans are specifically not permitted. Unless specifically designed to be worn outside, all shirts must be tucked inside slacks or shorts. Please be mindful when inviting guests to the Club, to advise them of this policy.

Gentlemen, hats off please when inside the clubhouse.

Out of respect for Members and guests, the use of cellular or digital portable phones and other forms of electronic communication equipment and computers should be discreet.

Communication devices such as cell phones, pagers, etc., must be set on silent mode and may not be used in the Dining or Bar area. The device must be taken outside the Club before making or taking a call or playing music or a video. While on Club grounds, cell phones, tablets, laptops and pagers etc., must be set to silent at all times unless required for emergency purposes.

Expected Pace of Play is under 4 hours at all times

For our members who smoke, please remember that there is no smoking inside the clubhouse and PLEASE do not throw your cigarette butts on the ground.

LOST CITY GOLF CLUB 9-HOLE LADIES’ GOLFERS & NIFTY-NINERS

The Lost City Golf Club offers many activities in which the lady members can participate. Please sign up where interested and return this form by October 17 th . Your dues will be added to your club bill.

Person Paying the Bill:

WGA 9 Hole Ladies Golf $50.00

Every Tuesday morning followed by optional lunch. Additionally, 4 special luncheon parties per year. Ladies 9 Hole Practice Group $50.00

Beginner golfers play 4 5 holes and can move up to 9 Hole Ladies Golf Nifty Niners Associates (Non Golfers) $20.00

Open to all club women who no longer play golf or never played golf. Invited to 4 special luncheon parties per year and welcomed at weekly lunch with 9 Hole ladies.

Many of your family and friends like to visit you and take advantage of our weather each winter. We offer you the opportunity to give them a guest pass for up to 2 weeks per year. We create an account for them and they can come play during that time period ( with or without you ). At the end of the month, they will get a bill just like a member. Our only request is that you give us at least 24 hours notice so we can create the account. You can obtain a guest pass form in the membership office or have it emailed to you from cassandra@lostcitygolf.com

BENEFITS:

$20 off spa treatments, excludes salon services and retail products. 25% off tennis services. Fitness Club unavailable. Water sports full charge. Access to the beach when available, after same day purchasing a spa treatment and/or lunch.

The ability to bring one (1) guest, to enjoy benefits, with member to be present. Each member will need to identify themselves as a Lost City Member and will need to show a valid picture ID in order to receive the discount & benefits.

Each member will pay for charges while at the resort, on the day.
