Dear Lost City Members,

Below is an excerpt from the USGA' s Spirit of the Game. This is part of why golf is the greatest game ever invented. In addition, where else can you spend 4 hours with friends and family, enjoy the great outdoors, get exercise, face challenges, be creative in an environment that allows you to laugh at yourself.

USGA Conduct Expected of All Players (People)

All players (people) are expected to play in the spirit of the game by:

• Acting with integrity – for example, by following the Rules, applying all penalties, and being honest in all aspects of play (life).

• Showing consideration to others (on and off the course) – for example, by playing at a prompt pace, looking out for the safety of others (on and off the course), and not distracting the play of another player (person). If a player plays a ball in a direction where there might be a danger of hitting someone, they should immediately shout a warning, such as the traditional warning of “fore”.

• Taking good care of the course (community)– for example, by replacing divots, smoothing bunkers, repairing ball-marks, and not causing unnecessary damage to the course (community).

Life is short, play golf and enjoy a meal with people you like to be with whenever you can.

March is going to a great month; make the most of it!!
