The Los Barriles Community Market brought the New Year in with record breaking numbers. Saturday mornings at the Community Market are a true "community" experience! As we look back over 13 years to our first season, when we had only a handful of vendors, our currently bustling market is a truly amazing sight. We started with a suggestion made at a town hall meeting 13 years ago and are now a flourishing farmer's market. None of this would be possible without the local support our community offers.

We are fortunate to have the Parque La Laguna as a venue and we are very grateful working with us over the years. Those of you who attend the market regularly are familiar with our vendors, many of whom have been with us from day one. They have stuck with this market through thick and thin, and Covid, and continue to show up every Saturday. You all know Oscar, the Veggie Man, the Sausage Girls, Barchi and his metal art, and the Basket Ladies, to mention just a few. appreciate the dedication and commitment it takes to keep this market going and growing.

As the East Cape grows and gets more sophisticated with the "foodie world" we are fortunate to benefit from the incredible products now offered on Saturday mornings. Emilio's Pies, Rancho La Venta's home grown meats, cheeses, and eggs, Bella's French Cuisine, Micro Greens from Todos Santos, locally roasted coffee, fresh local cheeses, and several bakeries that offer everything from homemade bread and crackers to delicious desserts. After stocking up on your weekly groceries, you can browse through our local artisans' colorful wares from copper to clothing - it's all there for you to enjoy!

Our vendors travel from Todos Santos, Santiago, La Paz, San Jose, and local mountain communities. dor and they will tell you how much they enjoy coming to our market because you, the people of Los Barriles, are so welcoming and appreciative. So, the next time you are at the market take a moment to thank them for their efforts!

The Los Barriles Community Market also provides a great venue for many of our local hard-working non organizations. These organizations support kids, schools, dogs, turtles, local theater, recycling, Rotary projects, and other causes. Our Market is unique in that we don't have a large population to draw from, so we are truly a "local community market" and we rely on you, the community, to come out on Saturday mornings and enjoy what our thriving market has to offer.

The Los Barriles Community Market runs every Saturday morning, 9:00 am to 12 Noon at the Parque Laguna in central Los Barriles, from midNovember to mid-April.
