A Love Letter to La Jolla

A collection of new work
Opening December 2025 at Roam Homeware

Artist Statement
Welcome to the show at Roam Homeware! I am thrilled to present my collection of work that is deeply rooted in the light and life of La Jolla. The pieces are both a celebration and a nod to beach life and town. To me, these paintings emerged with a sense of Southern California, but distinctly La Jolla--confident, elegant, and colorful.
I am a lifelong artist and founder of Lori Brunner Art, a multi-disciplinary design studio focusing on original art, interior design, and artful products for the home. Before launching Lori Brunner Art, I was a professor of interior design for over 15 years at Iowa State University and Arizona State University, where I taught all levels of interior design studios and two and three-dimensional art. While I spent most of my life working and living in the Midwest, I moved to Arizona with my family in 2017 and divide my time between Scottsdale and La Jolla.
I am passionate about interiors and art, both on their own, but especially the interplay. There is magic they can have with each other--but most importantly, I love the impact they can have on a person. I hope these paintings bring you joy and a sense of La Jolla in your everyday.
With Gratitude,
