hank you for making 2014 an amazingly blessed year for Loretto! All of us are indebted to you for your generous response to the needs and care of the Sisters of Loretto, your assistance with our many congregational expenses, support of our varied ministries and outreach programs to those in need. We send our prayerful and resounding thanks to each one of you!

From the time of Loretto's foundation in 1812, our founders reminded us of our “obligation to pray for our benefactors: those who have in any way assisted us in spiritual and temporal matters through prayer, advice, words, works, goods and property of any description.” We count on your help — you can count on our prayers.

Our Annual Financial Report is another way of personally thanking and recognizing each supportive member and friend of Loretto. The report is designed to give you an idea of the scope of Loretto’s mission in today’s world.

Since I am writing this in the month of May, which marks the close of another academic year, commencement addresses and recognition of achievements, I would bestow “highest honors” on all our illustrious donors! You made 2014 an outstanding year for all of us in Loretto and deserve the accolade of Magna Cum Laude! I hope this is a sign of many wonderful years of continued friendship and association with each one of you who know and love Loretto!

The Loretto Hunger Fund reached its 40th anniversary in 2014. The fund feeds thousands of hungry people through various food programs throughout the country. All monies are contributed by Loretto Community members, friends and thoughtful donors. Events such as the Motherhouse garage sale, shown here, also bolster the fund.
