CONGRATULATIONS TO THE

Class of 2023

Congratulations to the Loreto Toorak graduating Class of 2023. The results of the Class of 2023 have demonstrated outstanding academic endeavour. We celebrate their wonderful achievements: in working together, cooperatively and collectively, with each other and with their very dedicated teachers. Our 2023 Dux of School Emma Guthrie, is to be warmly congratulated.

Ms Angela O’Dwyer Principal, Loreto Toorak

The Class of 2023 achieved 11 perfect study scores across 7 subjects. In addition to this, 26 students achieved an ATAR above 98.00, which is an exceptional result.

These results are well deserved for this cohort of students who have diligently applied themselves throughout the year. Our School community congratulates our students and pays tribute to our dedicated and inspiring teachers. The academic achievements of our students are only one part of a Loreto Toorak education. It is the School’s mission to develop both a curious mind and a compassionate heart in all our students and we acknowledge the various individual successes of students whose results might not reflect an academic honour, but for whom the achievement was significant. It is these individual stories that are special to celebrate, and the essence of all that we do. Our graduates now have their choice of post-school experiences and will continue to build on this firm foundation in deciding their next exciting step. We know that these women will each contribute to a better world in some significant way. They are Loreto Toorak graduates: Loreto women. We wish them well.

COMMUNITY

Engagement “women in time to come will do much” We are very proud of the Loreto Toorak graduating Class of 2023. They have demonstrated excellence, leadership, commitment, perseverance and teamwork – with their outstanding academic achievements being only one part of their Loreto education. Our aim to develop in our students an inquiring mind and compassionate heart is at the foundation of all we do. In this spirit, we commend the Class of 2023 for the contribution they have made to our School over their entire time at Loreto Toorak. Their energy, enthusiasm and dedication to the School and our values grounded in faith have been a core component of their graduation as young women of integrity and sincerity. We are proud of these young women who worked hard at their studies, supported their friends, collaborated with their teachers and engaged with the deeper meaning of what it is to be a Loreto graduate. In the Loreto Year of Justice, each student demonstrated the curiosity and courage that defines this value, and led the School community to give life to our 2023 school theme, leave no one behind on our quest for truth and justice. Mary Ward said that “women in time to come will do much”. This is our hope, trust and prayer for the Class of 2023.
