Mother Gonzaga Barry brought Loreto to Australia in 1875 and to Sydney in 1892. From origins in Randwick, a new chapter began at Kirribilli with the very ‘first ask’ by Mother Philomena Heaton to her mother, Sarah, for the purchase of Elamang in 1907. From this early generosity grew the Loreto education from which so many have experienced and profited. Loreto Kirribilli, ‘a school with Spirit’, steeped in tradition, began educating young women in 1908. Our school has a long-standing reputation for excellence in education. We continue to build on a foundation that begins with Mary Ward’s passionate conviction that “women in time to come will do much”, providing an education which liberates, empowers and motivates students to use their gifts with confidence, creativity and generosity. Leaving a Bequest to Loreto Kirribilli can be as simple as adding a Codicil to your existing Will. Before finalising arrangements, we recommend you consult your solicitor, who can prepare a Codicil to an existing Will, or assist in the writing of a new Will with Loreto Kirribilli as a nominated beneficiary. It is important to discuss your Will and Codicil with your family to ensure they understand and support your wishes.
